nobody panic. but I just had the best idea ever.

A wasteland news station/talk show!? All we need is a few dedicated players to take a bit of time every day to talk about new announcements and events; (for example the winner of letoo's lottery), new factions, and just share some cool stories that the listeners can post on their thread. Maybe even have like a "survival tip of the day". players could maybe pay to advertise their factions or businesses. All we need is some radios and an official station that anyone with a radio can tune in to. The only problem would be the immature people that would spam the radio station and start talking over the hosts. But surely their can be some workaround? Anyways, maybe you don't think it would work, but I couldn't keep the idea to myself. Gimme some feedback of what you think or maybe some ideas you can add on to it.  ;D

We just want to make the wasteland a better place, free of crime and injustice, no matter how many bullets it takes.

These are our words

I wanted to do something like this
but I don't even play much due to lack of time.

Most of the time, the channel would just be dead.

I like idea about radio station, there should be some non-stop talking about wasteland and things around here. Maybe some tips for survivors?

It could be scripted. When radio station is ON, it does choose random text from file that contains lot of different dialogs and some tips for survivors.

Yeah, this is a good idea and I was thinking about something like this as well,
but it seems very low priority compared to ther things that are currently in progress.

In case this will be somehow considered afterall, I suggest speaker poles in the entrances of the guarded towns and barter ground
that broadcast all the time in addition to the radio channel. Maybe it could even broadcast music like some of the Ink Spots songs?

Wasn't there something like that in...what was it TLA 1 ? Always on radio 0 about a sheriff in Modoc needing 3 hunting rifles or something like that. Not sure if was a script or a dude, but it sounded scripted. Blue text. TLA also started you with a radio.

Yeah it is a good idea. While going around or waiting it could be fun to listen to it.

Also how would broadcasting music work? Would we only see the lyrics?

And it being scripted it would be easy to update it with dialog.

Either lyrics or music files through updater.
Probably the same way as the planned jukebox.
There shouldn't be a problem with using Ink Spots songs
(Maybe, I don't want to se the world on fire) since they should be unrestricted after 70+ years.
