Also of note, it won't affect flamers. Even though it uses only a single round of ammo, its only attack is labeled "burst"

I don't know if the +5 damage affects it though.

Yep, its always affect your attacks even if you will normaly hit something/someone for no dmg with fast shot it always be +5 dmg
