Insane Ares loot
« on: September 24, 2013, 04:50:57 pm »
Me and some guys were clearing Ares earlier today, and among all the 10mm pistols and junk on the last floor, we found these in a desk. Is this normal?

You can even alone find from caves/footlockers pretty good stuff :P
So I think with team looting Ares loot isn't that much...

Seriously? Me n' three more guys cleared The Glow and our best loot was a god damn 2mm ammo. ( All lockers were locked n' bots were alive - nobody was there before us)
And Glow is supposed to be harder and with better loot, right?

Absolutely not. Glow is PISS easy. I've done it with 2 people, many times. Ares is very, very hard. The mutants have stuff like bozars, high HP, and they respawn every 30 minutes.

If you talking about the ares I guess you will not make it solo, but if you think about glow, then yes this is no problem. I visit glow with my all-in-one lumberjack build - over 260 hp, brd and mrd, combat set and pancor in my hand - and I am able to clear all floors and open all lockers - but stuff is really common, except 2mm ammo.

Ares needs a full team of combat characters, it's not easy. 5-6 people.

I had a sneak/lockpicker that could solo it last session of 2238, but it relied on some of the mutants being crippled.  AFAIK that wouldn't work now - though I'd be curious to try it again.
