Multi purpose character build
« on: November 26, 2015, 12:56:34 pm »
My situation is that I don't have a lot of time to grind in the game due to rl stuff and I don't really like maintaining more than one character. So I am hoping I could get some help with building a character that could possibly contribute in team pvp and also do gun and armour crafting.

Here are the stats that I came up with in my head so the stats allocation might sum up to be the wrong total special points.
Stats:
St: 6 to 7
Perception: around 7
Endurance: around 9
Chrisma: 1
Int: 4
Agi: around 8
Luck: around 6

Now I don't really know if small guns will be better for my case than big guns or vice versa. Some pros and cons will be appreciated.

Perks and traits is a problem for me too. I usually take small frame and finesse. For the traits I usually pick more critical and even more critical. 2 action boy as well. Some where along the lines of shooting more often and getting more crits off.

Thanks a bunch in advance.

Get 5 ST instead of 6 unless you pick up stonewall perk.

Endurance should be 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10.

Agility should be 6, 8, 9 or 10. Depends on what you want and usage of nuka cola, implant.

Luck personally I dont know but 1, 3-6 or 9/10 is enough.

For crafting you only need 100% repair and science. You can rasie it via books so its easy get 125% (max).

Perks: adrenaline rush, toughness/ever tougher, lifegivers, bonus rate of fire, action boys would be good.
Traits: small frame, fast shot, bonehead.

Wouldn't having a str of 5 disallow me to use some weapons properly?

No, you get -20% for skill if you dont have requirement st (1st less -20%) but you can raise it via raise skill.

Will that -20% affect me a lot if I were to go for aimed shots?

Depends on your gun skill. You can even use big guns and 1 strength if you have enough skill. Same for snipers. But imo to get a character who is good at pvp and crafting he needs to be leveled a lot and would take more grinding than making a pure crafter that would only take like an hour or 2 and then having your pvp main.

Ah I get your point. I always though having 2 characters is gonna take a longer time. About the ST 1, would that hinder a sniper taking aimed shot or will the high skill eventually cover up for the ST?

It will cover up the loss, also you can use drugs to bring str up
