Gunslinger build
« on: November 18, 2015, 05:35:43 am »
I'm interested in doing a gunslinger build (one handed pistols only) therefore I will be mostly be using the .223 pistol. Not sure whether it should be for PvP or PvE, hoping I can make it stand up to other build for PvP. I'd like to hear some opinions on this build before I try it.

S 1
P 9 (+1 with cigs)
E 10
C 1
I 1
A 9 (+1 with nuka cola)
L 10

Tags: small guns, first aid and doctor
Traits: small frame and bonehead

Perks:
Awareness
more crits
even more crits
even tougher
better crits
lifegiver
lifegiver+
right between the eyes
bonus rate of fire

I have no idea
IN may be 1, raise EN
Trait: Bone head and small frame
Tag Small Gun, First aid , the 3rd tagged skill may be EW, sneak (if you want to be a sneaker too).

increase your EN to 10 for sure, if you want to survive at 30 hex range with your pistol, you will need it, decrease IN or PE to get those points
if you read SG books you will be able to take all perks even with 1 IN.. depends on how much leveling you feel, lower = better
you dont need sharpshooter since you want to use only pistols, you dont need that much FoV

You lack toughness. You're gonna be extremely weak without them.

Take even tougher instead of sharpshooter.
Drop INT to one point. Or drop int and pe by one point each. Saved points put in endurance. You gonna have fun with such a build.

*UPDATED the original build. Thanks everyone for your input.

The only thing i'm left torn upon is what traits I should go with. Is one-hander worth it if im only going to use pistols? or is it overkill? and is chem resistant really necessary? or do drug addictions don't hinder your abilities that badly?

There's no more addictions except chars with trait chem reliant.

One hander is godlike but it's nesseary in builds with RBTE like yours. U need to reach 200 SG anyway. I use small frame and Chen reliant myself. I don't go anywhere w/o dose of drugs on myself.

AG 10 -> 9 + nuka
second trait bonehead (-1 from AG)
toughness -> even tougher

some things arent updated, like traits, chem resistant is useless since there are no addictions, it has only drawback

(ignore skills, i dont remember how much SG you need)
