Companions being shot by guards

Everytime i enter a town with my companion They get shot, Anyone know the reason for this?

And also companions can get negated rep as well as the players.

Are they armed when they enter?
If so, we need to change that. It's silly.

I don't think towns care if you are armed anymore. Junk towns south guards will say something but they don't really care (from what I've seen)
