In It Came From The Desert, the thing telling you the mission's complete will come on on the next the last ant. Haven't tried bugging out at that point, maybe it's not an issue, but thought I should mention... Doesn't seem important, either, fwiw.

Was reported back in 2238 but never fixed. Yes, you get the message too soon. Still a few ants left to kill there.

I just ran that quest and i got the end-of-quest message when i still had 4 ants to kill, and got the same message again when 1 ant was remaining. So it goes twice, and both times are wrong.
