Here's something I made really quick. I won't show the narration. But this is my proof of concept video. What do you people think?

Here's something I made really quick. I won't show the narration. But this is my proof of concept video. What do you people think?

I will give you my honest opinion in few points:
1. It's Waaaaaaaay too long. Notice that original intro lasts no more that 1:30
2. Too many pictures. Original intro consists 9 pictures.
3. Gamma on your pictures are way too high. Sometimes it's hard to see what's on those pictures.
4. Notice how on original intro pictures alone show you some story:
a) Two of destroyed Reichstag pictures showing conventional conflict going on
b) "American Troops at Ludendorff Bridge" - looks like the Vaults being built or used
c) "Cathedral during London Blitz" and "Sinking of U.S.S Arizona at Pearl Harbor" showing conventional conflict going out of hand
d) "Buy war bonds" - conflict is on a huge scale, so the American government sells war bonds to continue the war. Economy goes to shit.
e) Picture of Trinity Gadget - the first nuclear device. Shows that nuclear weapons are being developed to be used against enemies.
f) Picture of Trinity Gadget detonation. Shows that nuclear bombs were used on huge scale
g) Last picture shows the aftermath. Few survivors marching through city ruins in apocaliptic world.
5. Original intros consist of photographs. You had lots of scetches there.
6. All of Fallout pictures were WWII pics. In Fallout 2 they used photoshopped pics of futuristic city and few pics from cold war time. You had lots of pics from whole human history...
7. In both Fallout intros they've used music from the game.

Yeah, it is a little long. But it's 3:47, I would cut about the last minute and a half or so. Narration isn't really important.

The video I made depicts the history of the world. The theme is the futility of war, and the idea that "war never changes". Conflict originated with the birth of man, and it progressed. Religion came into play, and man became a civilized barbarian. This is shown throughout the years with highlights on great conflicts. Primal Tribes, Vikings, the Crusades, Civil War, Chinese vs Japanese history, WW1, WW2, and the idea that WW3 will be the end, etc. It's based off of the Dark Romanticism movement.

The silence at the end was to present the destruction of man, and his tech. The world becoming a barren wasteland. A silent, empty place until the Vaults opened, and the Enclave showed up. I used actual music as a nod to the Silent Hill intro vids...

Intro similar to FODE would be nice... but instead of these beautiful arts you can insert old and falloutish pictures from intros, maybe add a couple of screenshots from the game showing fighting players/npcs but without nicknames and interface - example (in black&white colors), add soundtrack from orginal Fallout intro and of course... War, war never changes.

Unfortunately, Wipe does not want to add an Intro. So this probably will never happen lol.
