Stranded Ship Quest

I have problem with that quest.. I did things like it said on wiki about that quest.. The problem is taht I can not turn off leaking gas. I repaired machine and turn the valves but nothing happens.. Gas is still leaking, so I cant loot the boxes. Can anyone help?

oh, I thought it can be done solo.. I saw some sentance on wiki that says two players is needed for that quest, but I thought that it is just formality, something like gun runners quest that says about 4 players min.. anyway, thx for help

Turning the big red valves is what requires two people (unless devs changed this). Those valves must be turned at the same time. The time it takes one guy to run between them is way too much, so this quest is still not entirely solo'able.

Me and my cousin did it together, even dud a 3-2-1 count, and if STILL didn't turn off.

Go up one level and go to the room directly over the valve room. Find the hole in the floor. Use a rope on it and the rope will appear on the floor permanently. Use that rope to climb down into valve room.

Note: There are two valves, and only one is in that valve room. The other valve is in the room above it, with the hole in the floor. Both vales have to be turned at the same time to stop the steam.

(At least one rope is found in the tanker, in one of the robot rooms in a crate.)
