More varied background music

The music of encounter maps, major towns and safe tents/houses is so boring, always the same songs used. There are a lot of less used background tracks, for example the v15, lost hills, den ones.

Put music from Fallout 2 to client if you didn't do.

Music installation

You need Fallout2 CD to get folder, that include music tracks from Fallout2.

1. Copy music folder from Fallout2 CD to this location:

Code: [Select]
FOnline Reloaded\data

*facepalm*

The OP meant that some songs are overused, while others was not used at all...

And I agree. I rarely hear Arroyo or V13 themes and they are cool!
Could we also use 2238 music? They had quite good custom tracks...

this is exaclty what i was trying to point out.

now im trying to be more exact about (imo) which ones should be changed in order to improve the gameplay atmosphere a bit, at least for new players who seek for some kind of roleplay and not for people who always play with music muted. and yes, i know this server (atleast for now) is not roleplay-oriented, and i know this is not Fallout 1 or 2, but i think background music always improving the gameplay significantly, especially for a game like this, where the graphics cannot display the feel of the true wasteland athmosphere.

- For tent maps and trapper camps, i recommend:

imo should also appear in more encounter maps

- For warehouse

- For main menu

and, there is the Waterworks music which is really creepy and imo it could be used for special encounters.

tell me what you think, give feedbacks, share ideas.

Waterworks is creepy as hell, and Im on it to make it SE music. Just to be honest I think playing Role Play here isn t hard, this server gives many options for this.

Waterworks's background music was made by The Glow Inc. propably for Olympus 2077 - the game for Fallout 2 engine. Author's site: http://www.iamtheglow.com/ You can find there more dark ambient music.
