Different reload animations for SMG and rifles

I think these would be more suitable animations for reloading SMG's and rifles:

But do you have to animate them in all six directions? How much time does it actually take one animation in one direction!?

If I knew how to do it I would do some new death animations on bluesuits :DDD

lol, I didnt make these. These kind of animations are already there. They are original idle animations.

And PunkGirl animations are being made by Geras from NMA forums:

This sprite was first created for Wasteland 2155 in 2011, so Kilgore knows about it but there is a problem, critter is not finished, so it can't be playable for all weapons, but it might be used for NPCs very well.

Since they are already in the game, you'd just have to exchange the idle animations with the reloading ones.
Doesn't seem too complicated. The question is however; what to do with the idle animations?

I think you missed the point of this suggestion.
He's talking about changing the reload animations for all armor types.

It's different because the reloading animations are just the animation of the model shooting the gun. This would actually make it look like the gun is actually being reloaded.

Yeah. There is no separate "reload" animation. The game uses what's used for "attack" animation. I don't think it can be changed.
