One thing that drives me crazy is I can't build my own shelves: It's not rocket scinece, I shouldn't even need a workbench to do it... you can buy them at Ikea and they write the instruction in pictures!
Wood+fiber=green shelf
Wood+junk=broken shelf
Wood+fiber+junk=bookshelf
Wood+metal parts=shelves

I love to clutter my base with semi-useless or plain useless stuff that looks nice, so +1.

On a sidenote; I think containers should have less crafting requirements, because why not?
It's pretty silly that combat armor is easier to craft than a friggin' metal locker.

Something like "10 junk = rusty locker", "10 metal parts = metal locker" would be better

And make the floor safe only pickable with an expanded lockpick set and a tool kit.
Otherwise there's very little reason to craft one.

It's a very minor suggestion though.

+1 to shelves and desks and additional containers.

+1 to reducing the crafting formulas. Too much junk is needed to make lockers.

Very much this, crafting containers should be easier and require less resources.

Good good! I like this idea. Also Kilgore, you said that after the wipe some scenery objects will be usable/craftable. Do you mean items like spikes with bodies and car wrecks and walls and doors and fences and.... well you get my drift  ;D
I just think this kinda stuff would make bases and tents feel more personal. No real use, but it looks cool ya know?
