WTB HPA with helmet
« on: March 27, 2014, 05:35:56 pm »
I'm looking for a hardened power armor set in 100% condition. any kind is fine if it's not damaged.

Offers are welcome both here and via PM.

Why does it matter if its damaged condition?

Because deteriorated armors have higher chance of being partially bypassed.

Also, being shot sometimes causes involuntary bowel movement syndrome, which can leave shit stains inside the armor.

I think that's only when the armor falls below 50%

I can't express how happy I am that you support my trade offer.

Because deteriorated armors have higher chance of being partially bypassed.
I think that's only when the armor falls below 50%

thanks for the input. can someone confirm this? seriously, I'm not exactly sure how detoriation affects armour.

anyway... seems like my old friend has seen this post and he gave me the armour for free. If you see this - dude, thanks!

nevertheless, my offer still stands, if anyone has a set for sale. I could use a spare one.

so I guess it does not really matter if the condition is above 50%.

still, my second argument is valid: "being shot sometimes causes involuntary bowel movement syndrome, which can leave shit stains inside the armor."

besides... I just like my weapons and armours to be in prime condition  :o

Lol, it does matter, a lot.

Quote from: wiki
The more an armor is deteriorated, the more chance the wearer has a chance to receive "partial bypass" on critical as well as non-critical hits. Chance to be bypassed for each bullet applies when condition goes under 50% and is calculated by formula (50-condition)*2%. (e.g. 0% bypass chance at 50% condition, 50% chance at 25% condition, 100% chance at 0% condition). "Partial bypass" has no effect on traditional critical hit bypass. Deterioration of armor does not change its DT or DR.

In other words:
Even if your stats are the same in 1% and 100% condition armor you will receive more damage if you armor is below 50%. The lower condition (in 0-50 range) the more dmg you get.

what I meant to say was: if armour is above 50%, it works as well as an armour in 100% condition, if I'm getting this right.

thanks for clearing this up.

anyway, I'm changing the offer to HPA.
