After next update:
- min. 12 lvl required to recruit a companion,
- added many new companion spawns,
- removed starter gear from companions to prevent companion farming.

This just prevent those level 1 companion campers to get companions. Starter gear, do they really carry anything good?

The problem is not people getting companions, the problem is noobs abusing companions in PvP. That update just foment grinding.
Btw, I dont really get the point with companions, the ones who are free, respaw; but mercs who cost you money, do not respawn, wtf?...

mercs have better skills, you can pick which type you want, they have better stats, you dont need to lvlup them, you can have mutant mercs

i like the idea of Merc leader being a specific build for variety's sake, no so tough maybe, more cha than others and things like that. but tanks shouldnt be able to have any kind of mercs

And they die forever. And as far as i know, companions has better hp (and armor...) . If no one use mercs, its because they suck.

And yeah, merc leaders needs a nerf. And slaves should try to kill you if you have low hp.
