[Client] Lock and crash with Windows error...

This is brand new today. Somebody must be messing with stuff because i have not made any changes at all in any settings. Twice now, my mouse will freeze and about 10 seconds later i get the standard Windows error msg prompting me to send details to Microsoft. Close client and re-launch.

Event Type: BEX (Buffer Overflow Exception), P1: FOnline.exe

Error seems totally random and not connected with certain actions but it only happened twice three times so i will watch for more data on this.

Windows XP, default client, no multi-log.

The issue may be not so much that someone is messing with something, but more with the fact that server has not been rebooted since over 50 days. Even this sort of game requires regular reboots every week or so.

Many people are also experiencing random crashes.

In general, server and community is being neglected.

I thought it is fault of update what i've done today.
But the same situation, random crashes with "Segmentation fault" error.

Debian-Jessie with wine 1.6, fallcraft mod but without any mod the same situation

Nefastus server-computer can be on very long without any problem i know one machine which is running without pause few years. Game server is running almost month but today few weird thing shows up

I did nothing and im getting a crash always when I log in any character, but just the first time I try. If I log in with X character, it will crash, if I try again, it wont crash, but If i change to Y character, it will also crash the first time I log in... Very annoying.

Same thing is happening to me as well.

Edit: Well that doesn't work at all.
I get an error message when trying to add FOnline to the exception list: This program must run with DEP enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program.

I'm getting same error over here as well everytime I log on I crash the first time. The 2nd time I log-on, it usually works. Tried on 1 desktop, 2 different laptops. Same problem. Started a day or 2 ago?

Me too. I don't think it was about DEP...I've always had that off.
Deleting cache seams to have worked...may also have been because of multiple tries (log ins)

on one of my first tries it dropped to desktop after pressing enter to open the chat box.
another was when i clicked to move in the WM


Second try (log in as same alt) seams to be stable

server up-time 29 days......indeed.

-edit   I think I am confusing DEP with UAC. AFAIK all that crap is turned off.

Well I tried this and this is what I got:

This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled.
You cannot turn off DEP for this program.

I tried both FOnline.exe and FOnlineGL.exe.
