Slayer perk
« on: January 16, 2014, 10:29:30 pm »
Maybe not an idea for this session since Kilgore said no perks will be changed, but after testing on 2238 source I don't see no reason why the Slayer perk shouldn't be enabled on this server. The damage output would finally become suitable for higher PvE and PvP and of course we could remove the More HtH Criticals perk since it would become obsolete.

I think you will find reason from this text.
Quote
All of your hits in hand-to-hand combat are critical hits.

As HtH and Melee use same skill now (Close Combat), this could be used with Melee weapons too which is bad thing.

Edit: Now even without Slayer perk you can manage get all unarmed perks and powerfist with critical bonus, you will get 95% crit chance to eyes.

HtH troll waves are possible even now, but no one gives a shit about using them since they are not effective bare-handed, nor will they be effective bare-handed if this suggestion is implemented. Better worry about Pancors.

Sure, pancor can cripple you, but pancor will lose pancor. And pancor doesnt have 95% crit chance.

That's called Finesse and no perk has negative impacts.

And no perk give 100% crit,  finesse give +30 dr to enemy not -30 crit power

And no perk give 100% crit
Slayer does and that's why it has been suggested, -30 to crit power is still a negative effect and HtH criticals are already weak enough.
