Companions missing?

Got one question - do companions (neutral, not yet recruited) are bugged somehow? I've been today in Den, Klamath, Vault City, NCR, Junktown and Hub in bars and few shops and i could find noone with description "wastelander" or "traveller" - no companion anyway. Are they THAT rare or its rather spawn bug?

I really think too that this is bug, because this happened since that update when you was able to check companions lvl and experience by dialog.

Or we both have damn bad luck, I don't see other reasons.

Some dude on IRC just said that there is one fag that has about dozen alts, multilogged on all of them with nicknames "Bitch of [town]" in every town with bar and he just scams every companion that spawns. While I can understand multilogging for mining becouse ores respawn quite quickly, camping all companions using multilog like that is simply wrong. Isn't that punishable?

Doing alts to gather all companions and get them together to some faction, that is what I think.
It should be punishable, to prevent little more alts.

Those companions are used in TC, it could be solved.
