Steal - can it happen when you log out

Hey there,

New to this game, love the old ones.  Still trying to figure this one all out, but I ran into a problem.  Last night, had a sexy little p90 a nice dude gifted me - thanks again.  When I logged in this morning, it's gone from my character.  I know that I didn't sell it, didn't drop it (was way too cool to ditch), so that left me wondering.  Could someone have stolen from me when I was offline?  Maybe my character didn't fully log out and someone picked it off me.

If not, is this a bug?

Condition of the weapon should have been good, only fired it a few times, was crafted by a player - don't know if that changes anything.  Thanks for the info.

Yup, thieves can steal from you even you are logged out.

That is why you should always log out in safe place like on the worldmap.

Your character is still in the game for 1-2 minutes after you log out. Thats why you should logoff in your tent/base or on Worldmap

Yeah, I can see that now, and from the helpful responses.  Nothing in the items I read on the forums said that "Fallout:Reloaded has added Douche to the game" - but then I get a gem like this from you, and I'm reminded that they might not have shared all the features of the new game.  Thanks for the troll, now return to your bridge.
