Slaves got lost

So, I was riding back home with my two slaves. On the halfway the vehicle ran out of fuel. I had some fuel in the trunk, so I filled up the tank and get on with my way. Suddenly I realized my slaves aren't following me on the World Map anymore.

Their place is marked up in the map, so I assumed they are there. I went back there and found nothing. I went there without the vehicle and again, nothing. When I ran to the exit grid message says "You left ~name here~ behind." But there was no one on there.

It's still showing on the map though. What could be the problem?

yes, waiting should solve everything. I haven't lost a slave yet, this can be closed lol. As far as I can tell the followers system is pretty much bug free.
