More different perk types?
« on: October 25, 2013, 08:16:24 pm »
We have now 3 types of perks ingame.

Regular perks (Which are gained by lvl up every 3 lvl or 4.)
Support perks (Perks than you get from NPCs.)
Weapon perks (Perks that weapons have.)

And of course, Implants are also perks.

Edit: There are also karma perks (Childkiller, Gravedigger)

I would add few more different perk types to ingame.

Quest perks (Like support perks, but you need to do quest to obtain quest perk.)
- Of course quest perks would need some new quests that would give perk as reward.

Special perks (Almost like Support perks, but you can't get them always by same style.)
- Special perks are gained from NPCs, unlike Support perks you can't gain same perk by same style you get it once.
- When talking to NPC that would give "Special perk", there would be different dialog options to obtain perk.
- These are most hardest perks to get, almost like unique perks. To get perk, it depends* on your character sex/age/skills/SPECIAL
- Very special perks, give pretty special effects also.

*Yeah depends on your character sex/age/skills/SPECIAL, but even with all those it's not sure you get perk.

Companion perks (When companion get lvl up, it's possible to choose perk for them.)
- Companion perks would be unique perks, only made for companions.
- Random lvl when you can choose perk for your companion (Lvl 3-24, Max 4, 6 or 8 perks)

Please make a space after _ , _ like this :
Quest perks sure is a good idea, finnaly quests might become useful!...
Its just the basic grammar, not even English one.

Aight now we got that over; sure I support Quest Perks aslong as they make sense and aren't somehow easily obtainable for every character.

You go talk to NPC -> you get different dialog options, when you have chance to get special perk -> You choose wrong option, dialogs goes normal and you lost special perk.

Requirements are like in normal perks, just more extra hard -> sex, age requirements also.

Maybe some shady guys would give those kind perks, that mostly players don't talk at all :D
Some activity to those kind NPCs too.

Special perks
- Very special perks, give pretty special effects also. (+1/+2 to SPECIAL, +AP, unique perk effects)

No, +special or ap as reward is so OP. It would touch game balance and ppls would have to make new builds and characters or reroll.
Something not that OP as reward.

You choose wrong option, dialogs goes normal and you lost special perk.

Requirements are like in normal perks, just more extra hard -> sex, age requirements also.

So something not fair ?

What about some items as requirement ?
