Suicide ganking at mining sites.

I had two people come up to me in NCR mining site in vault suits. His friend suicided by killing my brahmin (then getting killed by guards) and his buddy just ran over and grabbed all my ore from the Brahmin. His friend then came back after respawning. Is this just shit manners or considered foul play?

Park your Brahmin in the exit grid.  If they kill your Brahmin at least they'll have a really hard time getting your stuff.

Since I don't use public mines anymore, I can share few secrets with y'all:

1. Use veins placed near edge of map (in NCR it is North-eastern one).
2. Use only this one vein. Dont run around the place.
3. Place your Brahmin near the edge of map.
4. If some shady character comes too close, ctrl + left click and command your Brahmin to run away. It will disappear immiediately. The Brahmin will get back to you on World Map.

It's still a risk, but it should do.

The best option is:
1. Build mining char. 10 strength, 2 support perkis gives you 216 carry weight (432 with overweight). Its good to have a lot of endurance to withstand some hits.
2. Build safehouse right next to mine

just log to char 1, punch char 2 (also logged in) and he will have few seconds to gram all yer goodies and when the timer ends he will be in WM.

Had my cow killed 2 times so I only use my miner in public mines. Ppl even use 3 vs 1 combo that is 2 bluesuits with xl kill you and 3rd one steals the stuff. Not realy sure if it's worth to put so much work when those 3 guys could mine  that one minute or just steal stuff like normal thiefs

I believe this game more dangerous that eve online.
