Yup, IRC itself works. Client is just one thing that doesn't.

Anyone using web-based clients has this problem because ForestNet.org is too slow. You need a client that has auto-reconnect in it. Basically read the thread that Kilgore linked to. It's lengthy as hell but I really made sure it gets people connected.
