Player Driven Caravans?

what is the purpose to buy a cart? It gives me forced encounter every step on the map

Easy way to farm, lvl up and gain exp+money at final destination

HELP!

What if my followers are killed in the forced encounter, am I have to wait for them to respawn? or I can just lave with my caravan and they will respawn in my tent still?

Leave, they will respawn. (Camp I think.)
