According to the Wiki, you can use puppets as a type of currency to buy your way into a certain location known as "Pomona". There isn't any info on the area yet.

You can give puppets to Lone Wanderers in exchange for different gear and stuff, if you ask him for a random box of Armor, it's possible to get Enclave CA, Desert CA, Combat CA, Combat Mk2 CA.

Yes. Those Lone Wanderers, there's some zone underneath NCR and above Junktown that only spawns them.

If you take telltale job, you can see quest location on wm like other regular quest locations (small circle). Go there and kill boss.
If you get puppets, find lone wanderer npc into wasteland (30:30 location for example) and talk to him there. He will offer some options how you can use it, like get rare items, random stated items, try improve your item .....

Yes, I'm finding the telltale's bosses much more easily now. But I've only taken on the first three; Crazed Vault Dweller and Tyrant are doable, but #2 is anything BUT "easy." (Corrosive was on crack when he put that on the wiki.)

I was not aware of that. I thought puppets were only useful to fight the Enclave telltale, since you have to "pay" 13 if them to face him.
