Party Points (PP) question

Alright, I didn't find anything on the wiki, so here goes - If you have 6 CH, both perks for PP (Good Natured, Magnetic Personality) and 300 Speech = 260 PP, you pop some Mentats (280 PP) -> you recruit 4 companions (70 PP/ea), Mentats wear off, what happens? Does one companion leave because of PP shortage or they still stay? Would really appreciate any info, thanks.

don't worry, the companion won't leave.

You only need the PP to get them, not to keep them. You can find a bunch of info on this here, including bump that CH from 6 down to 3 and still get all 4 followers.
