What makes CA so different, for example MKII version that can't use implants?
CA is weakest version of combat armor, MKII+BoS+Enclave+NCR are upgrades. Why they don't work with implants?

I didnt used implants yet but i 99% sure that CA serves just as a component for the operation that assigns implant to your character, not the armor. And the CA is lost during the process.

Is there a limit to how many dogs you can have
or does it just depend on your party points?

Can they gain levels?

If you have max 300 party points, you can have 7 dogs. So yeah it does depend on party points.

It was told by Kilgore that every NPC will gain lvls, I think dogs will get lvl too.

You are totally wrong, the implants are not in the CA, the CA is an "ingredient" to get the implant on you.
A character with implants can wear CA mkII, BA, EA..... CA may be better because of the crafting bonuses, also its easier to craft than farming those other armors.

I know how does CA and implants work, I just don't understand why not other variants of CA not work with implants?

Does AP ammo actually have an effect?
I didn't notice a difference between 5mm AP and JHP when using an assault rifle. I remember AP ammo was bugged in Fallout 1 or 2 (can't remember which right now) but when shooting.. anything, I didn't notice a difference in damage.

AP ammo does effect to armored NPCs and players, JHP is better in general usage.

It's always better use AP ammo against players, because they have armors.

Info

5mm AP -> DR modifier -35%, decrease armor DR modifier by 35% (+ piercing)
5mm JHP -> DR modifier 40%, increase armor DR modifier by 40%

Cool. I did check the wiki first but like I said, I didn't notice much a difference but they weren't that armoured so I thought I better ask.

do skins stay on your character even if you die?
Just wondering 'cause I saw a guy die 4 times in a row in NCR today and every time he returned, he had the exact same skin on (Super mutant)

Those kind of skins don't disappear after death, they are from GMs.
