Radiation ammo and such.

Radiation is an underused and wonderful mechanic. 

Rad ammo:
-Deals normal and radiation damage.
-Could be crafted using same recipe as normal SG/BG ammo but with added refined uranium as an ingredient.
-Crafting yield per batch could be 50%.

Rad grenades:
-Could deal radiation and fire damage.
-Could be crafted using fire grenade recipe with refined uranium added as an ingredient.
-Crafting yield per batch could be 50%.
-Sprite animation and functionality could be a green version of molotov cocktail.

Rad wakizashi:
-Could deal radiation and melee damage.
-Could be crafted using wakizashi recipe with refined uranium added as ingredient.

Pros:
-Creates demand for rad-x and radaway, thus stimulating economy.
-You can really ruin someones day.

Cons:
-Now more chems are needed.
-Someone can really ruin your day.

Sorry, I did not intend to mislead you. I do not have the required skill set to create the suggested additions.
My intent was to float the concept, see what others thought, and go from there.
If anyone has the skill set and desire to pull this off, I suggest they go for it.
I can help with refining the concept and testing if need be.

Honestly I just want to give others radiation poisoning, bringing them all closer to Atom..

Luba Luft is right, this would add immersion. Graphics and stats are minor concepts that can be adjusted.

I like the idea of building bullets from uranium in order to radiate people on hit - that sounds awesome!
It could even require a special crafting profession that needs something like 100 science and 100 repair to unlock.
We've seen poison become something that's a real threat in this session, why not improve radiation too? :D

What benefit does this introduce besides being able to grief noobs more effectively? Go start zone, cripple leg, get shitty weapon, kill revive, kill revive, get max dose of radiation, gg.

As for immersion, the bullets should radiate the carrier or the storage, or the whole area people are at with the ammo or shot at.

I would definitely not combine radiation with combat.
It could end up being very annoying and also as someone already mentioned, abused for trolling. You could keep target alive and stack his radiation. Also some new players may have a trouble then getting rid of it.
Dont know if it would be that much fun if in middle of TC you would have to start eating radaways because your stats are dropping.
Rad ammo wouldnt have use in pve and would only be annoying in pvp.
Instead it would be nice to see some more areas with radiation like glow for example.
