Can't type the tilde (~) character in-game

In windows I push the tilde key and get `. If I shift push that same key I get the tilde (~) character, but I can't get it to appear in-game. Does anyone know how I can make the tilde character appear in-game?

Your next option is to copy one and paste it using CTRL + V.

Thanks that works! Never thought the the copy paste function would transfer in-game. Now I just have to figure out how to rebind the throw function since the tilde key doesn't do anything.

ctrl click with attack on?  I don't usually throw so not sure if it will work.

Funny, to type ~ in game I need to push shift and double click ~ so it works.
