Client stuck on loading screen?

I have tried re-downloading the client and it doesn't work. It gets stuck on the loading screen and when i press esc it comes with a menu that says error. Also how do i check if the server is down?

There is a picture at the bottom of the forum mainpage with the server status.

Hub was so dirty last night, that he had to shutdown the server to clean that mess  ;D

Make sure data paths are right (for master and critter dat. or that fallout.dat), run it windowed, clear cache, and run normal FOnline without the GL.

Should be all, at least how I got mine to work long before. And check this thread.
