Greetings! From me! Your good ol' trusted dev!

I've hit a wall on the Farm system... IE: I've run out of ideas. Maybe it's 100% complete? But that's never a good enough excuse not to ask the community!

Anybody got any ideas for new Farming mechanics? If you don't know what I'm talking about then go check out FOnline: Shelter!

I won't spoil anything, but what's been added is the obvious -> Brahmin being able to be added to the pens directly. Increase rewards/selling prices. Add some new NPCs. Make use of the empty church, allow farm to be shared, etc. It's pretty advanced now, almost its own mini-town really.

Anyone got any more ideas? Anything I haven't thought of maybe? Hmm? Troll away! This is just for fun, it's not one of those major obstacles, or anything. I'm fully satisfied with the current system, just feel like it could have a little more oomphf!

Add feature to all factions to allow an NPC contingent of player faction membership. NPC followers including companions can be stationed at a new Clubhouse base. This base has a bunch of Party Points so the base itself can be a parking place for your NPC followers. Next is a Barracks base also with Party Points. You assign an NPC there as a Captain. Then you assign up to 4 more NPCs there, under him, to form a 5-man team. Up to 4 captains per Barracks.

Teams can then be tailored as a mix of different weapon types, or all sniper or whatever player wants - just mix them around and re-assign them as needed. Take them on missions and quests. Plus...when you're going offline, you can send a captain and his team out on solo missions to hunt certain things, including Special Encounters. This would be limited, but they search for SE until they meet serious trouble, at which point they end their mission and return to Barracks.

Your farm produces food. All NPCs eat food at the Clubhouse and hang out there waiting for assignments. They eat food, so your farm needs to be optimized for food production.

Interesting idea... but what would they provide? Spend caps for a moment of refreshment? I suppose I could add hygiene...

+1 charisma for 15 mins per use? I don't think it would be too powerful of a boost, maybe a 1 hr cooldown?

Edit: perhaps a chance for sex addiction requiring a visit at least once every 24 hrs or lose a str point

I can only speak for myself and khansidering I have 2 sons I'd say mine works fine.
