Blank encounter (solved)

I don't know if it's important or not, anyway:
I got an encounter in the mountains south of the Hub. The window popped up and read: "you encounter:"
And then nothing. I simply hit escape, so I don't know what was on the map.

"You encounter:" is what appears in chat when you get special encounter
however those cant be cancelled by pressing escape, special encounters are always forced
that message in chat appears when you enter so you didnt pressed ESC but left encounter by going to grid or using vehicle probably

one or other way, not a bug

Sometimes with flare traps - or other encounters with alot of players in them, you will see a "blank" encounter.

Probably best you didn't enter Haha!

People, I didn't enter the map. And I know of flare traps, I was not travelling upon one of those.

You can spot an encounter 1.5 squares away.

your encounter range is actually 9 squares around you in a circle  (3x3)

So you are just south of hub, and picked up a player enc likely in the boneyard, and so many were in it it cleared on your screen.

I saw this yesterday when we entered an encounter with Rinzler.  Just after our group entered it showed as blanks for others.

If u get an encounter sound and cannot move but there's no selection box with cancel option then it means there was a playermade encounter but by the time u found it player left it few seconds ago and it wasn't removed yet but qualified as closed.

true but then he wouldnt get "You encounter:" thing, weird
