Ranger Perk doesn't immediately create safehouses.

Instead it unlocks crafting options to create safe houses, and other improved personal houses.
The upgraded tents would take say 50 metal + the tent in your inventory to turn into a safehouse kit.

And some other buildings that would be cool to craft as house kits.

No maps would need to be added because it all exists in game already.

Its just that you can't use the places for personal housing right now, all there is to add is a bench and terminal to make it a base if you wanted to go that far.

The Safe Houses already exist as well we'd just add a briefcase or something to be the icon for the safe house creation kit.

I wish, but I don't think there's enough time to add big new content before wipe. We're doing our best to finalize everything for the wipe. But one day? I would LOVE to introduce brand new DIY houses for solo players/factions/coop/etc.

Building a shitty foundation and having to constantly upgrade it would be cool. Almost like a player farm, but just a private home.

It'd be more fun if we had more modular options for base design, I'm sure people wanted the ability to remove and add some of the default walls, and furniture of their bases.

Not everyone wants to be living in or near trash xD!

Those bases from FOnline2 exist in FOnline Reloaded mapper pack because previously they were used in Wasteland 2155 so maps are done... Also Khans opened mapper contest so shut up and start drawing a map :D

+9000 for more varying bases.

Safehouse kit can use g.e.c.k. icon but a bit different
Like add some house or campfire on it :P
Or make new one if somebody can that would be cool too

I'd like to see my Trader Mansion in game at some point. This is my favourite one.

Trouble with base map upgrades is every map change makes it being generated again. And that means all items on it are lost. So way I see it the base upgrades could be something like adding another map via grid, ladder or something after this or that required task is complete. Like making another and another levels of underground shelter using loads of dynamites and stuff. Just a thought.

Easyto solve. If you have that 1st level map to upgradey you must set mini construction sites there. Now you can put everything on the ground and those items can be moved to upgraded map to the same hexes.
