I don't know about H2H builds, I've never used one. But for ranged weapon builds, as mentioned above you will waste a lot of SS on this quest in real time. While you can get upgraded CA MKII and other decent gear, this is random and more often than not the loot isn't worth the trouble. This quest is best done in TB with a high ap build, making good use of cover.

I think "Worse than Rumoured" is a little harsh. As BB. pointed out you DID recently win a 3v1 fight so I think you could justifiably use a slogan like "Work in Progress" or similar.

Hi,

I might be interested in joining the desert raiders provided it has no association with either UV or Khans. If this is an independent faction then I have a lot I can bring to the table, although I can only teamspeak at certain times presently.

I have 3 Pvp characters at present:

1.) Full Stonewall/MoS tank. (For real time, Level 62)

2.) 223 Pistol, eye shot sneaker. (Mainly for real time, Level 82)

3.) Solar Scorcher/Incinerator Sneaker (For turn based, Level 52)

So thats me, if you're interested in having me on your side then send me some more info.

Splitting better criticals would affect other builds, such as sneakers who have been fucked enough already. If 260+ hp sniper is such a big deal (and it shouldn't be considering the lack of DR) then the answer to that would be raising the skill requirement for sharpshooter. The only reason a 2 LG sniper with 1 int is possible is because of gun skill books

I don't think you should get it back just by walking. However I was thinking that what if the perk Bonus Move gave a small ap regeneration in real time only? This would give the perk some relevance for real time and go some way toward making builds more portable between different modes

I don't think he is saying we'd get AP by walking. He is saying AP would regenerate while walking, but at half the speed it regenerates by standing still. Seems to me that would mean faster fights, less delays during RT combat. Your idea to use Bonus Move for this seems okay to me, but only if it was a Support Perk. I don't want any more BRoF situations, where a single perk is so important that every single character i ever make has it.

+1 to Daytona's idea (or some version of it). However, this is the kind of change that might be dangerous to existing fight dynamics. Maybe test it somewhere first.

I see what you are saying about BROF, I hate having to incorporate that into everything too and I agree it shouldn't become like that. I was thinking more of it creating a build choice situation, in the same way as we have with action boys/BRD now. Where extra damage/ap is nice but you still have to be alive to use them and it needs to be balanced against damage resistance.

The sad thing is there is probably better loot in caves than at any dungeon/town location now. And all comments about "loot hamsters" and "crying" aside, people like loot, for some reason they just love having better weapons and armor to equip their characters with.

I don't see what is wrong with having some places where decent gear spawns, I don't think it should be rare gear most of the time. I think things like unique pancor or xl would be adequate. They can be crafted anyway and if you've got somewhere you have a good fight and maybe take home some gear which will save you on crafting then, happy days. The problem at the moment is when somebody clears warehouse or bothers to go al the way down into the glow and they take home a unique M60 or laser pistol for their troubles then it gets old pretty fast. At least caving theres a chance to find something useful and even a chance that somebody might come in after you and try to get the drop on you, which is more than you can say for WH or glow right now.

My understanding is there is an initial roll which, if successful makes 80% of the burst critical and causes a 'critical hit' message, a roll is then done for the remaining 20%. If the initial roll fails then each bullet is rolled individually, no 'critical' message is displayed but damage is increased accordingly for each critical bullet.

While I don't think the P90 penalty is necessary or even fair considering the investment sneak takes to become combat ready or what you sacrifice to make it playable, sneak isn't dead. I've been playing as if the penalty were in place for ages, you just need to rethink how you're playing it.
