Closed bugs / "sorry you cant carry that much" error while selling armor

i went to sell armor at modoc.
i was over weight and close to the max, but i could still walk.
i unloaded to the transfer screen to match the caps at the store.
i put all the caps to the store transfer screen and hit offer.
and got the error.
the armor was back in my inventory and caps back in the store inventory.
i went back to my tent and unloaded a bunch, went back and completed the sale.

my guess is the weight of the stuff i was selling was not taken off my carry weight and the weight of the caps put me over.
not a big deal.
just a heads up.
sorry if its already been reported.

thanks for the update gauvaran.
i haven't played for awhile and while cave farming noticed some things were not "humvee'ed".
when i want to turn off the mod i just add an ";" to the start of the line in the config file for the cave mod.
and then delete the ";" when i want to cave hunt.
ahhhh.
the good old days of good old DOS.

hey Corosive.
i just don't have the time to help.
either on learning the skills or implementing them, even IF i had the knowledge.
real life and all of that.
but that's pretty cool of you to step up and offer to help others learn how to do it.
and its even cooler of you to help kilgore and the gang to actually do the hard work.

about all i have time for is sending my monthly donation and pointing out that when crybabies whine about no updates (and other whines on the forum),
 that they are crybabies.
it used to piss me off about the rants to the devs of 2238.
its no wonder they said fuck it.
and i am glad that kilgore hasn't.
i too think the new game is going to kick some major ass.
but this time lets let  kilgore have some time to play the game that he has spent a lot of time to make happen.
for us.

time to go kill something.

due to the impending wipe, traffic is down.
lots of us play this game.
real life location is one factor.
the way you want to play is another.
the chickens that don't want to waste their time because of the wipe are chickens.
and are wasting their time on other games.
until the wipe.

i usually build my first tent near modoc.
the advanced workbench, lots of brahmin encounters and wood and fibers seem to crop up more in that area.
the NPC's are killable and a good place to get a shotgun and shells.
a place to sell armor and misc items.

second tent around geko.
it is a good area to pick up hunting rifles and ammo.
sell apples to the barkeeper and small arms to skeeter in the north side of town.
nearby ruins for junk and footlockers and a mine with HQ materials.

third tent between modoc and geko.
all that good stuff is no good if you die.
and die you will.
these mines and towns are unprotected, so when you get a pile, dump it in a safe place asap.
when you go to town to craft/shop, first go in naked and empty, to check for PKers.
when you leave, close any doors you have opened.
this way you know someone has been to town since you were last there when you come back to do business.
if a door is open, find an out of the way place, close to the edge of the map and not too far from the exit grid.
drop your treasures and check it out.
if the coast is clear, pick your stuff back up and do your business.
if you die, sneak back into town and you may be able to save your stuff.

when you walk into a store, close the door behind you.
that way if someone walks in, you will hear the door open.
then you get to decide to run, hide, die or say hi.

when starting off, RUN, like the blue mouse you are.
personally i start off with a crafter, but one who can fight medium NPC.
then build a fighter.
use the fighter to process raw ores and minerals to level them up.
use the crafter to supply the fighter with gear.
then hunt the pricks ( the PKers from the list you made) and have no fear of loosing gear.

lets say you walk into a TC town and get "reloaded" by the faction in charge.
all you wanted to do is get a perk or go shopping.
once you re-spawn go right back.
naked and half dead.
and die again.
and again and again.

once in broken hills i did that.
the TC guard complained  to me about me coming back.
your using up my ammo they said.
so stop shooting me i said.
 :)
they didn't.
and i didn't stop.
i got my perk.
i don't know if they gave up, or if i was just lucky in my timing.
at one time i had 3 or 4 players douching me from rockets to gattling lasers.
all of them wasting ammo on my bluesuited, half dead self.
one poke from a spear would have done me in.
i think they were getting more ammo.
BBS is not known for letting folks get a leg up, unless you are BBS.

if you have a safe place close to a town, do not go directly to your safe place.
sometimes the warning that you are being followed has a lag.
pick a spot close and wait a few seconds.
kick them off if need be.
then go home alone.

anyway that is my starter advice.

the wipe is a foul beast that threatens to make established players run for their life in a blue suit.
the wipe is half killer rabbit and half crybaby packing a bozar.
late at night in the wastes you can hear its mating call.
sooon....

i see kilgore locked the reloading reloaded thread.
good for him.
and good for us too.
i could be wrong, but i read that as him having no time to re-answer the same questions over and over again.
because kilgore and the crew have work to do and are doing it.
as best as they can fit it in-between their real life's.

even after the wipe this server will continue.
for how long, who knows.
economics and traffic will determine that.

but this game, as is, IS PLAYABLE AS HELL NOW.

for the most part reloaded is on auto pilot.
i don't know how much time the devs have to spend on freeing stuck players and other administrative tasks, but i hope not much.
i also hope they don't have to deal with a lot of re-roll requests because someone sent a buck or two one time.
all of this takes time.
time away from the work on the wipe.

the foul beast that WIPE is.
packing a unicorn gun,
switching it back and forth
back and forth....
between ass or horn......
AND then BLAM.
