Faction Announcements / You little shits!
« on: September 06, 2013, 11:31:33 pm »
You ever been called a little shit before?
Well that's okay! The Little Shits are growing stronger and we aspire to continue growing. We want you, if you feel the following statements mirror how you feel.

We utilize a very simple philosophy: help one another, as we are a family. Other than that, look out for oneself.

If attacked, we protect one another. If threats are imminent we guard one another.
Some of us believe in the "shoot first, ask later" philosophy.
If you know or have a loved one who has died in the wasteland because they happened upon some little shits simply know that it was not personal.
Should you feel the need to do so. Our complaint department will take notes of your grievances. Isn't that right, Betsy?
Betsy: Moooo.

We protect our own. Blue and green names are guarded by us.
White names are potentially just as dangerous as red names.

Befriending or joining us is the only way to get your name colourized to blue or green.
If you want to work toward a like-minded goal or join in the hunts feel free to send me a private message.

We accept all nationalities but we primarily speak english.
The admission fee is only: One Brahmin shit.
Thanks,
-Kain, The proudest little shit.

I dont see what the issue is with a lvl 10 protection cap.

I doesnt take that long to lvl up to 10, helps new players learn the ropes.

Helps anyone who isn't new have free cave and locker farming...
Level 3 protection max.

Frankly I don't think its necessary at all. We have 400+ players consistently. It was taken away and its not like we have had a mass exodus away from the server.
We have a small handful of players who still feel it is necessary and a lot of players (even some of whom are brand new) that are asking for no protection.

I think the players have spoken. You will always have a few people begging for the easy street. Fact is, Fallout Online is not meant to be easy street.
For those who enjoy the pve and hoarding aspect of the game just be careful where you farm. Up north in those urban areas I have yet to encounter another player, for example... Plenty of easy lockers. There might be some players there after I said it but the point remains valid. Look for spots, there are LOT of remote locations to farm anything you need with very very few adversaries.

The people that want to hunt other players are going to be looking for the most trafficked areas.

Lol first half hour after noobie protection was off I got pked :P
Lost some good stuff, but it got my blood pumping! It was fun, I'll get him next time ^_^ (hopefully)

I'm a newb aswell, i'm new to fonline. Yeah theme park wow clones have a huge player base but i'll rather play something unique with less people than other safe grind fest, i don't care if carebears ragequit the game after first dead tbh. I don't know exacly how protection works but from the start i dont like that word. So right now you can't be attacked till you reach lvl 10 or how does it look like?

Right *now* no one has any protection. You can be encountered by other players (good or bad) or you can accidentally fall into another player encounter anytime, anywhere.

Here is my thought on player protection.

I absolutely agree with Jet and the other players about protection.
The wasteland is not a "protected" place.

There are remote locations all over the map with urban areas and all kinds of other things. Find them, spread out. Put a tent nearby them.
Playing this game "safe" is boring.

The absolute best thing I think if players absolutely HAVE to have protection, make a very small "guarded area" around the guarded cities like NCR, SF, Hub, and Junk Town. Noobs and "carebears" can stay there and let the rest of the players enjoy the game and the harshness of the wasteland.

Personally I am very happy its gone... I have made 2 new friends since protection was gone, killed 1 guy and died 3 times. (twice with good locker loot)
I love it!!!

Closed suggestions / Re: Outdoors skill and death
« on: August 31, 2013, 03:47:12 am »
Don't care for this idea but i do like the idea of making those items practical.

More quests that require them or something.
Or a very slight gain to your OD skill when you have them on you.
Make special encounters that can get you a nice companion if you have a canteen of water for them.

As for death due to low OD I disagree, but something else might be more practical.
Perhaps you spawn in literally entirely surrounded by whatever random mob it would have been due to low OD? that's more of a perception thing...

Low OD already sort of enforces death... You are forced into player encounters, lol.

The skill should have a bit more impact, especially in pvp  but not random death for a low score of it.
Maybe instead a low score might cause you to get lost or dehydrate and get lost. (cause it to force you to stay where you are on the WM for 3 minutes, or 5 minutes and give you a "low OD" related message so you know why you got stuck...
That could really effect peoples plans, especially for later pvp or town wars.

Just my thoughts...

Is there a limitation on how many books you can read?

10 of each different type of book, for a maximum gain of 60% to each different skill the books effect.

I'm all for contributing to something I'm passionate about.
You should have some support. You put a lot of time and effort into this for all of us.

It's especially important that you know you are appreciated and that you don't burn out quickly with all the work you are putting in.

Let us know where we can throw a few bones to contribute to the cause.
