Suggestions / Re: Cars in towns lockpick
« on: September 16, 2017, 09:24:11 am »
This might sound a bit silly, but one could introduce some NPC you could talk to with your key in hand, resulting in you entering your car. See it as a parking service.
I do agree the timer should be a little longer in general, or towns should just come with parking lots. With the server going full PVE it makes sense to add such things.

this way it would change literally nothing. either all teams would fight as level 23 characters or one team would stay on lv 23 characters and have one lvl 24 mule on wm to loot after winning fight. Solution to this problem is simple af. Stop bitching about no loot and just play damn game instead.
[/quote]

It would solve everything with the right tuning. There's many things you could do eg:
1. TC would require characters to be level 24
2. TC would give characters XP on participation (doesn't this already happen?)
3. Loot could start at 21, meaning teams with <21 level chars will have to do with two perks less.

There's also the aspect that you just have to accept that things will not be perfect. Yes SOME people will try to avoid this. You can't stop it, you can hinder them but you can't really stop it.
Don't shoot a potential solution down so quickly without taking two seconds to think about it. In addition telling somoene to stop bitching isn't going to make you sound creditable either.

Anyway the no drop feature is here to stay this era. It has been said many times by the devs. So let's just see how this plays out in the long run.

- Lowered NPC spawn count in Junktown rats quest

Ah what a shame. It was a nice quest for leveling.

From my very limited time spend playing this new wipe:

The junk addition to crafting is a fantastic change. However I believe you forgot to balance certain other factors (such as caveloot) to go along with it. and with balancing I mean nerfing it/making it harder.
Lets not deny it, Fonline Reloaded is by FAR the easiest server to play on. In previous sessions loot very quickly lost its value as you progressed. CA was thrown around by teams and more veteran players. The more valuable gear being the rare stuff or the gear with good bonusses. If any changes should be done, it should be done to make things take more time, not make them cost less time.
Though keeping lower tier gear easily craftable IS a good idea. This isnt about making the life of newbies harder, but making the game more tense and making finding CA a moment of excitement.

On personal mines: I completely agree that they were made public for all to enter. Honestly, I see no reason why they are even in the game. They serve for nothing but a method for rich/veteran players and large groups to easily get hold of tons of resources without any sort of risk. This is not in the spirit of the game whatsoever. If you want your precious ore, you should risk your ass trying to get it.

Just my two cents on the matters.

Hello! I am a bit confused about a a quest from the new tutorial. Thunder Joe, the Armorer of the vault outpost wants you to craft some ammo, including 300 rounds of 5mm JHP. As far as I've seen you can't craft this just like that and it requires Gunsmith profession. Is there some way to obtain that during the tutorial?

It's a bug. I actually had to make an alt and check the real requirements. He tells you them correctly the first time. It's 200 .44 JHP, 200 Shotgun shells and 50 10mm JHP

No drop will make people play less cowardly with hoarding shitload of items.

Unfortunately items dropping are a big factor in my pvp-enjoyment. I've always considered Hinkley as the place to go for quick and safe action. I otherwise expect the people I kill to explode like loot pinata's and spark my excitement as new goodies appear on the floor. Not to mention the increased adrenaline rushing through you as you put your own equipment at stake (though let's not claim that loot and equipment is worth that much in reloaded in the first place).
I'll be giving this new era a shot I guess. I however doubt I will find much enjoyment in it. But perhaps this will attract new people to the game and be the way to go. Only time will tell.

I guess in next session medic perks will be merged and support perks.

I'm hoping that this won't happen. We need less cookie cutter and more variety.
The medic perks can use a rework as they are unusued currently. So +1 for the general idea.

Suggestions / Re: Animal followers and PP requirement
« on: December 09, 2015, 10:08:08 am »
Make the full PP semi tank char, take rats, go hunting for centaurs, command flee to them, make a lot exp, reroll

Seems like an awfull lot of trouble when I could just grab my incinerator and clear the entire encounter in 10 seconds.

Pretty much what the above posters say. There's no use for Bethesa to sue these games. With such a small playerbase and no profits being made at all, it just isn't a threat to their fat wallets.

Then there's also the issue that sueing Fonline servers would probably create quite a few news items, which would mean a rather large portion of people would learn about Fonline. That would probably be the opposite of what Bethesa wants.

Don't start just yet. The wipe is around the corner, which means that your play experience is going to get wiped very soon. With around the corner I mean potentially THIS month. So hold on tight and wait for it to happen.

Aside from that I recommend you forge your own destiny. First you should save up for a DIY base and get a few tents up at important locations (EG near JT mine). Aside from that you'll want to level your characters, do quests and raid dungeons. Once you get a good hold of the game you should consider pvp in some form or shape, it's fun and good income if done properly.

Furthermore, with 6 friends you'll have a sizable group. I recommend you first try playing with just your friends, so don't go joining any factions. Aside from losing your identity, you don't have a good idea of what each faction stands for. So figure that out first.
In any case, if you are new to Fonline you can expect to die OFTEN. You will probably die in equal amounts to both players and NPCs. EG: There are factions out there who solely focus on hunting newbies and loners, and nothing else (eg: The Khans). So expect to meet plenty of pkers even at level 1. Many deaths can be avoided by avoiding major towns (hunt/farm 4-5 tiles away)

Stay strong, don't give up and remember: Trust nobody

Character builds / Re: BRD Avenger Build(am i doing this right?)
« on: November 15, 2015, 01:48:20 pm »
How about this? Tankier with +5 bonus ranged damage , less crit

2 INT cause with 1 i cant take the More Ranged damage
Will the lack of stonewall be crucial?

Some will say yes, I say no. That said, the lack of stonewall has gotten me killed more than once. The builds you prefer are going to be different from the builds other people prefer. You aren't per se going to perform worse than somoene else if you have a different build, you'll simply employ other tactics.
I'd say: just try the first build and see how it goes. Reroll if you don't like it. If you follow everyones advice in this thread you'll end up with the usual boring cookie cutter build.

And if you want cookie cutter, just use the broken gatling build. (7 str, 9/10pe, 1cha, 1int, 1lk, 10ag, 10 end + all tank perks = build that does 30-40 more damage on average than a full BRD avenger, thank you broken gatling laser)

So just go out there and experiment.

So i made a crafter character and i want to lvl up dpser.
Im new and i dont know much about pvp.
Plz tell me your opinions for this build and plz tell me if its viable for pve or pvp

S:1 P:9(+1 cigs) E:10 C:1 I:3(needed for perks) A:9(+1 cola) L:7

Traits:Small frame, Bonehead

Skills:Big guns , doctor , first aid

Perks: More Critical, Even more Critical , BRD x 2 , More Ranged Damage , Lifegiver x2 , Bonus Rate of fire.

Thank you for reading this.

Your build will work, but will be rather fragile. The typical tank perks are as follows: Toughness and even tougher, Stonewall, adrenaline rush and lifegivers.

Now you have 1str, and AR requires you to have 5 str. This is unfortunate, since it is by far the best defensive perk to have. You could take even tougher and toughness instead of BRD 2x if you wish to increase your resistance against normal damage bursts. Alternatively you could take another lifegiver (instead of a more crits or brd perk)

Your build will work, but consider playing around with the planner. You could always simply try out your build and see if you like it. Rerolling in Reloaded is cheap, so its not the end of the world to discover that your build isn't what you wanted.

General Game Discussion / Re: Gauss rifle Question
« on: November 14, 2015, 10:11:20 am »
Found a gauss rifle in a hidden bunker

Is it rare? Where can i find more 2mm EC ammo?

Yes it is a rare weapon.
If you plan on using it for PvE i strongly recommend you to stick to areas where pvpers can't interrupt you (eg mutants quest), as its value varies from 200.000 to 400.000 caps.

Suggestions / Re: militia tweaks.
« on: November 08, 2015, 11:58:43 am »
Militia dont interfere with player vs player interaction. No more bb gun noob tagging.
Militia protects everyone with level lower than 24 no matter who the attacker is.
Mlitia reacts only when being shot at or when someone tries to take the town (npc dialogue).

This way it would work something for something. Wanna have advantage in town control? Good but say goodbye to killing every noob on sight. Feel strong and wanna kill noobs? Good, who can stop you? But dont expect 6npcs to safe your sorry ass after them noobs gonna get their retaliation.

And how are people going to figure out who's <lvl 24 or not?
Just go all the way and have milita act as town guards, making TC towns semi-safe again.
Right now these places are just ghost towns that serve no other interrest aside from a temporary battlefield when someone decides to TC.

In any case, wasn't TC going to be revamped next wipe? If yes, then this suggestion might not be needed.
