How do you use the settler? I all ready brought it, but i don't know how to make them do work. Do you pay them first if so how do you do it?

Toxic Caves / A way to Nerf melee builds vs legendary npc

Legendary npc can be solo in real-time really easily if you have a melee build(even with out ss),so a easy way to buff them(in my opinion) would to give them a perk that counter melee like In Your Face! or Stonewall.
I think this should happen because then people would just farm them once day, which i hope that was not the intention.
