Items that can be aquire from events as bonus reward to implants, PA, rare guns ect. and from rare encounters. They should have high base prise  like 10-20k. You can sell them to merchant of any cathegory (drugs, armors, guns) to e.g. make buyout

Golden gun:



Description: You are not sure whether this gun is made from gold or simply gilded but it might be valuable for collectors
   
Parameters: like magnum44 but damage like .223 pistol


Golden Glowes:



Description: Champion gloves. Under these painted gold gloves is a hidden some mechanism...

My suggestion is divided into two options how to deal with this "Broken Hills respawn problem":

Option numberr 1: Create respawn for Broken Hills by using map of V15 respawn [Edit: this map do not fit... Its NCR rangers outpost]. Add V15 location to NCR respawn zone. Move previous V15 respawn location  closer to Broken Hills like on picture:

As a addition: In white spot on map - place Ghost Town so Broken Hills will share respawn with this new location or move talchem to the white spot to create respawn BrokenHills/Talchem.

Option number 2:
Make Brohem Hills and Ares respawn with using new map (or copy of existing map) somewhere betwen these two locations (in ruins surronding "white spot") or close to theme park. This will also resolve long run to Ares problem

Bonus Rate of Fire is MUST HAVE in every bulid (Only noobs, thiefs, close comat characters and not well thought, experimental characters do not take this perk). So there is proposal to move this perk to support perks with requirements of high weapon skill (something like 200%) and high level for example 40 lv

(I remember that this solution were on some one other fonline server but i don't remember where.)

Benefits:
-players can take one more perk instead BroF
-Doctor bulid characters dont need to care about leveling small guns skill, they can level doctor and use weapon needler pistol at the begining
-Players are forced to gain higher level than 18-24 to get this perk. Maybe its decrease number of combat alts because you need to level up to be fully functional fighter

Defects:
-less regular perks... It might force to necessity of creating new ones.
-After wipe -1 AP weapons will not be so common like now (not craftable, it only be at dungeons and some lockers) and there will be minimal AP cap of 2 per shot, so its probalby enough nerf to spammers.
-Players are forced to gain higher level than 18-24 to get this perk. Annoying and no sense...

What do you think? Are there other defects of this solution that i didint see?

Suggestions / New resources to crafting

I have some idea for new resources and reworks that make crafting more intresting:

[New item] Brick and/or [Rework] Rock
Usage? Building material to build faction base (or private houses). Bricks can be found in ruins or buyed. They also can be used us improvised last chance weapons (just like rocks to throw). Rocks btw should be findable everywere in each encounter (cave, waste, ruins, plain, forest ect.) often than flints. Creating a item brick might be unnecessary, because rock can serve the same usage. Its rather cosmetic

[new item] Cloth
Two ways to get this item: kill humanoids on encounters (find us regular loot, or use knife on their corpse to cut the pice of their clothes), or to craft them from fibers (like metal parts from iron ore). Component for crafting armors but i dont have idae how should graphics look (like in Wow or TLAmk2 ,,pice of cloth"?)

Changes for chems:

[rework] Killing bramins gives bramin hide and meat
I really dislike idea of collecting meat from butchery table (where it comes from so much meat? o.O ).
Meat graphics already exist :)
Also add more NPC to create meat jerky. One is already in Modock, add new one in NCR on Westin Ranch, one at Broken Hills at caravan office.

[New Item] Bramin milk
Only way to collect it is to use empty bottle on bramin. Real life cow can be milked 2 times per day and good cow gives 12 liters of milk dayly. [lets forget about the fact that the cow gives milk only after giving birth and the milk must be cooled... meat in fonline doesnt spoil so why milk should? :)]  So in game should be milking cooldown for each cow. The reasonable value for cooldown will  be one ingame day (so it will be 1440 seconds?) to collect 1 or 10 [Edit: 10 is to much...] bottles with milk.

Drinking bramin milk will heal like water (or better) and give posion resistance. There is no other item (maybe except armors with buffs) which gives this bouns.

To make graphics for this item its needed to somehow color the water inside "bottle of water" item to white color or make a new pic

How i come up with this item? In fallout 1 the doctor in Shandy sands after completing the quest ,,bring radscorpion tails" reviling you the secret recipe how to make antidote. He said that he crush radscorpion tails and mic them with bramin milk. So with this item comes change to crafting antidote:

Antidote = bramin milk + 2 or 3 radscorpion tails (now it just 5 radscorpion tails...)

[New item] Mushrooms , Fungus
They are like brock flowers and xander root but they can be find only in caves. I suggest to remove empty caves from the game - if you haven't find better items for example turboplasma or enclave armor, there always will be some mushrooms in the cave (as consolation for effort to explore cave). Other places to get them might be New Reno Stables (but mob shodn't like this...), Ghost farm (but I heard the rumors that there "magic box" will be moved) and Montag underground fungus breeding in New Addytum:



In mentioned place they should have very long respawn (it must to be proper mutation of mushroom). The existence of such a resource will encourage caveseachring because this resource will be needed to do create important drugs.

The fungus have some psychoactive substances so they might be used to craft: mentats, jet and psycho.

Fungus graphics might be created by cuting in paint some fungus from mentioned fungus breeding in New Addytum, or there is already some other graphics in the game.

Drugs crafting rework:
Antidote (us mentioned)
Buffout = Bramin milk (dring milk, be stronger!) + meat jerky 3 (real men eat meat!) + chemical componets x2
Mentats = 3?? fungus + 3 fruit (for cool flavor  8) )+ chemical components x2
Jets = empty jet carnister + bramin dung + 2?? fungus + chemical component
Psycho = 2?? fungus + bio med gel + super stimpack + chemical component
Rad Away = Bramin milk + chemical componet + biomed gel + empty hypodemic

are the values are reasonable?

[New item] Book (paper) - i dont mean skill books! I mean regular book about "nothing", which for average wastelander have only one value - calorific value, or as toilet paper... xD

Books could be find at (unuseed at the moment) bookshelfs at city encounters, like this one:


Some of thease books hold valuable knowlege so they migh be miscellaneous items that can be exchange to caps in libraries and at Brotherhood Bunker (make some vendors and repeatable quest questgivers outside bunker).

Second usage might be cigaretes rework
to craft cigs in Cigarettes Machine you need: 10 tobaco + one book (for tissue-paper :) )

That all suggestion about crafting chems. Now about crafting other things: I think that there is no sense to make crafting in reoladed too complicated. TLA mk2 have most complicated crafting but it is rather PvE server. Reoladed is rather considered us PvP server.  I usualy play here to relax and kill some players (after 6 mounth i found the courage to insolently kill one guy without warrning in the ruins so better beware of me! :P xD), us we all. I suggest to let it be that crafting on reoladed we be simple and do not disturb and distract from seeking adventure and fighting. Some changes must be done of course so lets try to discus how to create a crafting that will be not too difficult and still rewarding.

I think that reoladed needs first of all following items:
Pipe (to make most of two handed guns, you can find this with junk, in lockers ect. not as often as junk. Regural gun use 1pipe, some guns more for example shotgun 2 pipes, minigun 6 pipes)
Kevlar (to make CA)
HQ fibers (to make CA)
HQ wood??
HQ electronic parts (to make HQ EW)
Plastic (to craft advanced modern guns like XL70e3)

Thease advanced reasorces (i dont mean pipe of coures :P) shoudnt be aquirerd only in TC lockers, because the group that hold the powers (for example BBS) will not allow regular players to craft PvP equipment. This reasorces should be like blueprints on dungeons, rarely on ruin lockers, lockers in caves and rarely in high tech shops (brotherhood, Shi, Gun Runners, Enclave).

what new reasurces you like to be added?

Last question about making pictures to thease items: can they be created by making/finding proper picture of item in the real life on white background and then after some fun with minimalize picture/changing resolution added?

I made a screen which helps me visualize what I mean:



On this screen we can see that my character Wizard Celard can shoot lying behind the barrels Psycho Dad, despite the fact that from shooter perspective the target shoudnt be visible because its fully covered by the barrels...

So my suggestion is to give knockedown, unconscious (laying on the ground) characters automatic sneak mode and small bonus to sneak (for being on the ground) which with this:

We made with Psycho dad some experiments with sneak and snipers (visability, test some perks) and personaly I think that bonus from being hidden behind obstacles should be increased. 

In mentioned situation Psycho dad can only wait until i will finish him off... In group fight there is allways a chance that i will be busy fighting other players and dont have chance to walk closer (from beter direction) and finish him off. You cant kill, what you cant see. If he will have mentioned sneak bonus he will have bigger chance to stand up, find cover, heal himself and go back to combat while I will be busy fighting his team.

This is common situation on Barrels o fun map (I wanted to do screen there but it was ,,reserved") and it was allways annoyed me. When knocked you can just lie idle and wait for dead because you are visible to all shooters even if you shoudnt be visible to them...

Of course these bonuses should work not only with barrels. :)

General Game Discussion / Lay down?

There was the time when in NCR were wardering some NPC/bots: Tamira, JovankaB (robot) and Scyzor (ghoul). I reanember that they often were lying on the ground with full health. Sometimes I have seen the moment when they lay down.  It is possible for players to lay down on the ground like them by pressing some keys or use some ,,~" formula ?

Also whats the story with them? I know that they were removed because they were blocking patchs. But who created them? why? ect.

Its rather a question than suggestion... Is this is possible to make new category of perks?

Like companion perks - the perks that you have when you have followers with you. For example: cute slave might give +1 to party size or some other bonus to speach or charisma. You are her master, you should be able to force her to prostitute with your merks to get discount for their services... Perk: Iam pimp

Smart slave should give some buff to scientific skills. (,,Tell me how to do this you fucking prick or i will fuking kill you!!") Perk: Trusted advisor

Like armor perks - perks that will last when you wearing armor conected with perk. for example: http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?topic=5056.0
(I wrote this but still Iam not sure its possible or not...)

Maybe also some perk for HtH fighter and metal armor, perk: Unbreakable (decrese chances to cripple character arms, legs in hth attack)

Also I don't know: mentioned by me bonuses fits for perk or should be just bonuses?

Tools and Modifications / How to make graphics,animations to fonline??

I would like to know: how to make animations (critters, skins) to fonline. I might even want to try to create some. I know that it requires a fucking lot of work... I almost calculated the number of necessary sequences to create new fully functional character (6 views multiply by numbers of all activities in all armors with all types of gun: move, shooting, standing, butt scratching,  violent dead animations ect. and each sequence contains I don’t know 6 frames?)... it comes in thousands...  and even in hundreds!! xD  now I know why some of my “brilliant” suggestions where  rejected...
Is never hurt to ask... how to make new critters and animations to fonline? Where to start?

Question 1. Which program can be used to make animations? Is there any program which use "mirror" option?  It could reduce a half of work...

My friend recommended me: GIMP to make each frame + Adobe After Effects to make sequence . Its good combination? I also have heard a rumour that cubik2k have special program to design critters (used to create pashturrs), its true?

Question 2: Someone know good source of information in this subject, website about animations that he could recommend?  Is there any website-database with graphics, animations from fallout? Something like "fonline library"?
so that people do not do the same animation..

Using rope to enslave is good for bramins... to enslave humans, ghouls (and maybe supermutnats? hm? :D) should be different item like chains, handcuffs (made form metal parts and junk) or even the exploasive slave collar :D

Ghouls (maybe colored more grey by some forum well know artist) with:

Head DR -95% normal DR (to encourage to shot to the head)
Other parts of body +95% normal DR
also may be susceptible for fire and explode dmg.

They cant run, have low action points, they tactics is to swarm the enemy from all sides. They should have deal deadly HtH dmg if they manage to reach enemy but its not fair for HtH characters who can aim to the head

Killing them might "refreshing" and require tactics: run shot to the head, run shot to the head run ect.

New encounters conected with them:
-Some zombies (9-12)
-Zombie herd (20-30)
-Zombie Horde (30-60) [for x >3 party members]
-Motherfucking big HORDE of Zombies!!! (80-100, but i dont know it server can handle such things xD) [for x >3 party members]

You can find them only in one place (its fallout , not walking dead). Ruins 5-8 squers south form V15 (near the east end of the map) its good place: off the beaten track. Dont renember that its a city map so players might find regular lockers and dead bodies.

Each zombie have equipment that he cant use (guns, armors, stims, caps 1-100) also good idea to make reapeatable quest for killing them. Perhaps make a location which look like base traper camp, with vertibird (only as decoration, it cant be use) and good enclave soldiers and scienist who trying to find a way to "clean up the mess" that they have caused before war. Maybe some dungeon in the future? The city ruins and vault/reaserch center map filled with zombies.

Iam sure that someone come up with this idea but coudnt find with "search" option... also heard the rumors that there is already encouter zombies, but didnt met. I assume that they are ghouls with guns (followers of Seth from Fallout 2) not a mindless creatures that we all love

Other stuffs like being bitten by zombie and illness you do not even need to make.

Make a cloased thead on top of sggestion board where will be writen rules (,,before post a suggestion use a search option, make sure that wasent postet jet" ect), game master should write something about themself because few people dont know who is in charge (i discoverd there is also cubik2k week ago xD) and write about your skills in developmen of fonline (i know a kilgore is exelent mapper, also this new SE military base by cubik2k is real art). Write what is possible, what not. Also helful will be information about how to make graphics to fonline (which programs anf formats do GMs prefer). How can we help??? Write about server priorities (reoladed is considered to be the PvP server) and what do you never allow.

It will really help and reduce number of fail suggestions. It takes me for example to make 12 suggestion to learn that devs are real people and have their own life... and what mean ,,butthurt suggestion" xD

And keep doing a good work! :)

Requirements: High inteligence 8, 9 or even 10 !!!!, high skill science or repair (waiting for proposition)

rank 1 - increase dmg to robots and something with repair for example collecting robot parts from dead robots or crafting robo parts

rank 2 - you can craft robots and turrets (like there was said in this thead: http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?topic=1509.0)

Crafting of robots should be mix of container, base building and still. You craft contianer ,,robot construction site", lay it on ground like regular container. Put the part in ,,robot construction" container and use science/repair and wait some time.

robots can be fixed if killed
They do not respawn like companions
healing them require tools and repair skill
mister handy and brainbot can work like slave
you can have only 1 or 2 robots. I dont know how it might works with party points. Please post your ideas (to establish)
player might sell robots

Question 0: Possible or not possible?
Question 1: What do you think?
Question 2: How much resources you think might be needed to craft each robot?
Question 3: What with party points ect?
Question 4: Types of robots and rareness of they parts. Mister handy common, brainbot and war robots rare?
Question 5: Maybe robots need fuel to work?

If this suggestion pass there will be 2 monthly fasion on robots...

Perk given by some NPC from Gun Runners or from New Reno Arms trader Eldrige or basement Aldo (after magick box will be moved to slags) or new NPC some kind of gun maniac who will give it after you bring him ,,guns and bullets" and talk about your favorite gun.

This support perk give POWERFUL pernament buff to only one type of weapon. Listed below:

10mm Pistol
9mm Mauser
Desert Eagle .44
Shotgun
10mm SMG
Assault Rifle (not sure)
Hunting Rifle
Red Ryder BB Gun
Jonny's BB Gun
Red Ryder LE BB Gun
.44 Magnum Revolver
M3A1 "Grease Gun" SMG
Tommy Gun
Pipe rifle
Zip Gun
Wattz 1000 Laser Pistol (not sure)

notice that there is no big guns, most of energy weapons (only laser pistol) and no strong small guns (sniper rifle and xl). The purpose of this perk is to give some kick to weapon  which are considered as weak and have no real useage in game. There is no point of giveing this perk to for example rocket launcher, laser rifle or avenger. Perk bonus may include for exmaple this:
+2dmg  for selected weapon
+5% crit chance for selected weapon
+10% accurancy  for selected weapon

which can cumulate with weapon buffs and combine more powerful ,,weak" weapon. Bouns is very important balance mater and i have no experience in designing such things so lets discuss about it! :) is there any scientific reason to
create such a perk?
