Suggestions / Radiation ammo and such.
« on: September 29, 2017, 12:28:35 am »
Radiation is an underused and wonderful mechanic.

Rad ammo:
-Deals normal and radiation damage.
-Could be crafted using same recipe as normal SG/BG ammo but with added refined uranium as an ingredient.
-Crafting yield per batch could be 50%.

Rad grenades:
-Could deal radiation and fire damage.
-Could be crafted using fire grenade recipe with refined uranium added as an ingredient.
-Crafting yield per batch could be 50%.
-Sprite animation and functionality could be a green version of molotov cocktail.

Rad wakizashi:
-Could deal radiation and melee damage.
-Could be crafted using wakizashi recipe with refined uranium added as ingredient.

Pros:
-Creates demand for rad-x and radaway, thus stimulating economy.
-You can really ruin someones day.

Cons:
-Now more chems are needed.
-Someone can really ruin your day.

Suggestions / New types of children.
« on: September 28, 2017, 11:08:14 am »
I had a thought that would likely make world encounters a little more interesting.
Unique children.
A few concepts that I have had:
-Raider children mixed in with large groups of raiders. (hostile)
-A group of feral cannibal children. (hostile)
-A feral child taken in by wild dogs. (hostile)
-Children's crusade, a group of kids off on some cause. (dialogue, then maybe turn hostile)
-An angry boy who throws rocks and yells at player. (hostile)

Pros:
-It would create moral conflict for positive karma players.

Cons:
-Players will have to exercise care when bursting groups of raiders.

I figured there could be a modest or low chance of encountering such things, as people will likely complain should they acquire the child killer perk through carelessness. I think it would add flavor to encounters.
It may be a terrible idea, who knows.
Regardless, Thanks for giving us a platform to suggest terrible ideas.

Toxic Caves / The Children Of Atom welcome all believers with open arms.
« on: September 23, 2017, 07:16:59 pm »
Glory to Atom, May his glowing warmth embrace you always.

The Children of Atom are an RP/PK faction. In Atom's name we will purge from the wasteland all non-believers.
We are not a traditional PK faction, We have specific reasons for if and why we will kill. Atom guides us all.
Aside from killing those who to not follow Atom's path, We do many unique RP events. Usually involving unwilling or involuntary participants (non-believers).

We have several recruit level bases, and plans for more. Base law is simple:
You may claim or build any containers you wish, remember to lock claimed containers.
You may only open locked containers for which you hold the key.
You may use any item from any unlocked container.
You may place any item in any unlocked container for use by other members.

How to join: Find an officer and tell them you seek Atom's glow.
(Or message me through forum or on Discord, Handle: Luba Luft. Provide your character name too.)
Go to the initiation cave and read our holy holotapes and place them back on the shelf for the next recruit.
Speak with the officer who inducted you.
In time, this process will change to a more ritualistic one.

Remember to join our Discord server and check our holy holotapes regularly for updates/new tapes.

Only the most fanatical and creative will be considered for promotion.
The primary goal is to have fun with it.
Glory to Atom.

Bugs / Base spawn issues
« on: September 18, 2017, 05:34:26 pm »
Not sure if this is a bug, or just bad luck.

I purchased the Depot from Klamath, and it spawned in the middle of the Den.
Should I just buy another one and forget it? If so its really no problem. I just was not sure if buying more than one of the same base from the same town was possible.

I really don't want to be a bother, especially over non issue like this. I know you folks are busy.

Thank you for your time.

Edit: All is well, I bought another one last night. Needed something in a hurry for the recruits.
Thank you to all who responded, the advice provided was excellent.
