Faction Announcements / Re: Free Miners Federation (Now Hiring!)

What the hell is amitabha?

Amitabha is my guild, and it hosts the TS3 and forums that Free Miners Federation uses. You can basically think of it as our "parent" organization/gaming community.

I'm highly offended by the complete misuse of "yo" in this post.

Is this faction no longer active?
Should be up and running fresh.
But it's damn hard to get a hold of you guys.

I'm on right now :D The best way to get ahold of us is to hop on IRC. Or to get on our TS3 server (although I'm usually in the AFK channel, you can poke me or start a convo with me and I'll usually respond after a few minutes... if I'm busy with something I'll usually just type).

@Sultan, we're still active and growing. Check your PMs, as I replied to your inquiry.

do i care? i got what i wanted i dont care if im seen as a thief i dont care if i lost 5k i got what i needed
5k? You gave us 20,000 caps just a couple of hours before you jacked everything from the base. And what did you jack? A bunch of Deagles and Grease Guns (5-10 of each), about 200 each of minerals and iron ore, some metal parts and gunpowder, about 1000 ammo, 5 brahmin (you may have just killed these), 4 radios, some fibers (which we have an unlimited source of right in our base), 4 rot gut, and two containers that I made to keep the guns and ammo you took. Oh, and a bunch of looted leather armor. Essentially you saved us a trip going from town to town to try and sell the junk we had laying around and gave us a nice tip on top of that. And it would have been fine if we just left it at that, but you had to leave your initials in Brahmin shit and then get shitty with me in PMs.

I know you were applying to Crazy88 (tho I guess you lied, because you told me that you had been invited by their leader or some shit), so I expected you to leave. I even expected you to ask for your 20,000 caps back and I was ready to give them to you when I logged back on :0 Hell, if you really needed some stuff to help you start your own faction, I would have mined you a bunch of stuff, made you some guns and ammo, provided you with some actual armor rather than the leather shit, and given you a couple of BPs just because you were the second person to join the faction and generally seemed helpful. I just don't understand why you felt the need to leave on the note you did when it could have gone so much better for you.

And if, as you say, all that stuff is outside your ability to obtain by yourself, you've got some severe self-sufficiency issues that will make your endeavor to create your own clan quite hard and you will need that luck I wished you in the PMs. Now please, steer clear of our faction post. Thank you.

Closed bugs / Keybindings Wont Save?
« on: September 15, 2013, 04:07:20 pm »
While making/changing bindings with FOnline2238Config, none of my bindings will save. Or rather, if I delete all the bindings and then make a binding for reload, and then save and launch, the reload keybinding works fine. However, when I try to add keybinds, such as a keybind to target the head, it wont work and it also breaks the keybinding for reload so that doesn't work either.

Any ideas?

Game Help / Re: QUEST - BoS: Investigate the red object
« on: September 15, 2013, 08:24:47 am »
If you fight Chris, or argue with him or some crap, it'll break the quest. I'm not sure how to fix it. More than likely you'll have to do it on a new character. I don't think you should really bother, though, as BoS is currently broken and entering the faction will only give you access to their bunkers, which contains nothing useful as the Faction Point system (at least from what I've seen) hasn't been fully implemented yet.

Game Help / Re: How to handle losing everything
« on: September 14, 2013, 10:42:56 pm »
This has happened to my faction. The first time it about a day after our faction had started and we hadn't put much effort into the base at all. Just dropped some looted weapon and leather armor, along with some radios and crafting materials (from the protected mine that is right next to our base). Oddly enough, the guy that jacked all the stuff donated 20,000 caps just to us just hours before. So it was like he was over paying us to take all the stuff from our base.

The other day someone tried to do something similar. Except they were retarded. They tried to act like the alt of one of our members. So I went head and lead him to our base, acting like he would be allowed into the faction. While I was taking them to the base, I was coordinating out of game with the person he was trying to impersonate. I then had the guy he was impersonating come up behind him and you could tell he was in deepshit, cause he immediately ran for the exit of the base. But the mini-gun cut him down instantly.

Oddly enough, he had brought 700 caps and several other items with him to the base. Not sure what that was about. But we got that + a shitton of laughs. Even more funny is that the guy apparently thought he still had access to our base (which he never had to begin with, so idk where that came from) and tried leading a bunch of people from another faction to the base to raid it. They got everything in the base, plus a car. Needless to say it wasn't our base and the guy had apparently lead them to his own base :P

P.S. If you try to get us to let you into the faction via our general chatter radio channel, you wont get far. We had a back-up channel that important stuff is talked about, as well as IRC/TS3.

P.S 20 k is very small amount !

Yes, I know it's a fairly small amount. Making money in Reloaded is extremely easy. However, It's more than the roughly 4.5k worth of resources and looted weapons that was taken.

General warning to anyone who may be trying to recruit DemonHunter666, he is a thief. He jacked everything in our base. His characters are DemonHunter666, Demonhunter, and DemonCrafter.

Fortunately, he had donated 20k caps towards the faction earlier today and that is worth a lot more than anything he took. So I'm not really sure what his intentions were with that. He caused more harm to himself than anything else.

Game Help / Re: IRC 101, all you need to know
« on: September 11, 2013, 11:00:36 pm »
The issue we're all having is that we're trying to use the "IRC Channel" link on the front webpage. However, we cannot join with that as it does not connect with a port (as far as I can tell). That or it tries to connect with a port that isn't being accepted. Anyways, opening my old trusty X-chat IRC client and manually joining the server with the port 6667 worked fine and I'm back on IRC.

If it's not possible to fix the IRC Channel link on the front webpage, perhaps it would be possible to instead have that link lead to a guide that has a download to a popular/easy-to-use IRC client (like X-Chat) and instructions on how to connect to the server?

You can also Pm Killgore and ask him about editing Fonline:Reloaded wiki.

I'll PM Kilgore. I thought I had earlier, but I'm not sure if it actually got sent or not.

Yeah, pretty nice.
Keep up the good work and do what Gacut suggest.
When you're finished, give me a sign and we will spread it on the Facebook page.

Sounds good. Not sure if it'll ever be "done" but I will probably refine it a bit and add in some last bits of important information.

It looks promising. But please replace the direct link to the Pure Evil Interface in your guide, it's outdated.
The current one is:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/qfe623vby3388ax/Pure_Evil_Interface_v15.zip

I'll be sure to fix the link in the next day or two when I start refining/editing the guide a bit.

If anything you guys see in the guide isn't accurate, or should be changed, feel free to let me know.

Game Help / New Player Guide (WIP)
« on: September 11, 2013, 07:07:38 am »
This is the Work In Progress Player Guide that I've been making since I started playing Fallout Online. I started playing with the opening of the FO:R server and I had never played Fallout 1 or 2, or any of the Fallout Online variations before this. Because of this, there was a lot I did not know at all concerning the game. Unfortunately, besides a helpful post on the wiki, there wasn't many resources that told a newbie what he should know about the game. So, I decided to begin writing this guide as I learned about the game.

It is far from complete, I know. So, if you would like to help out with the guide, please post whatever helpful information you have here. Also, please include images to help people understand what you're talking about. I've still got a lot of images I need to insert into the current guide, as you may notice. But I'm working on getting it done. Thank you in advance if you decide to contribute!

Here is a link to the guide! It is hosted on my guilds forums. On a side note, if you would like to join the Amitabha gaming community, feel free to register :) We're just a group of guys and gals who enjoy playing various games together.

Any idea when this will get sorted? Has anyone contacted the IRC admins?

Faction Announcements / Re: Free Miners Federation (Now Hiring!)

Sorry I've been a bit MIA, guys. I've been getting on, but not to often the past couple of days. I've had to hunker down and complete my TERA re-review for MMOHut, which has caused my time to play other games to nearly disappear the past 3-4 days. I just turned it in last night tho, so I should be able to get on more frequently.

Unfortunately, I am suffering from the same IRC problems that a lot of people are and I haven't been able to get on IRC to communicate with anyone. Until the guys that run that specific IRC network get things fixed, or FOnline: Reloaded finds a new (IRC) home, that wont be an option for communicate. IF you need me for anything, please PM me on the forum and I'll try to check at least twice a day to respond to inquiries.

And update: Thanks to some kind donations, we got the junk required to get our base up and running. It is an outpost located outside NCR, between the guarded mine and Shady Sands. Future plans include the creation of an outpost near one of the unguarded mines OR the purchase of our own private mine with the creation of an outpost near that location. I'll need to look into either.

So, now that we have an outpost, I will begin recruiting more frequently. I will try to go into Shady Sands once or twice a day and do some in-game recruitment. Otherwise, please let me know if you want to join in this thread and we will get things sorted from there. Anyone is welcome to join as long as they have an interest in the crafting/money-making side of things in the game and have the ability to speak/understand English.

Right now we are looking for crafters and people who want to dedicate some time to resource gathering. After we get some crafters and resoruce gathers, we will open our doors to customers who can order stuff from us. One of our first goals will be to do an "Open Market" in either NCR or the Protected Mine in NCR, where we have someone acting as a merchant on behalf of the FMF, as well as two or three guards. Then for an hour or so, we will sell items thru this person to anyone who wants to buy something. They can also set-up an order via this person when he is in Shady Sands. If that goes well, we'll then start doing the same thing in other towns. Of course, before we can do any of that, we need to get some members together. So please, if you're interested, join!

In other news, here is another logo I've been working on. It's not turning out as well as I'd like yet. Not sure if I'll continue work on it, either. It's basically a rip-off of the Fallout: New Vegas logo, but more crappy.
