What level is advisable to reroll my character from a crafter to a pvp character?

Do you think bringing companions/mercs to dungeons is advisable?

Thanks for the pointers. Let's just say if I make 1 crafter and reroll once I get enough level and a good amount of caps, what are the methods that I can earn caps without crafting? I read that caravan is only good for exp.

I played reloaded about a year back. Stopped because of lack of time.

I don't like to have multiple alts. Found it a hassle to manage 2 characters. Now I have some time to spare (not really lots of time) and wanting to get back.

The concern I have is the builds. Most builds have 1 INT or 2 INT in order to have a decent chance in pvp. But without INT, it's hard to level (not really having a lot of game time) and making crafting for caps impossible at the start.

I am wondering if there are any viable builds which have a decent amount of INT and still able to make a stand in pvp. I saw a flamer build with 5 INT somewhere on the forums.

Any options for me will be greatly appreciated. Tips and tricks are welcomed too!

Thanks a lot!

Suggestions / Re: Mining Skill/Traits + Easily Obtaining Gecko Skinning

- Craftable pickaxe that doubles mats gathered and halves AP. Would require: Wood, 2 good metal parts, and advanced workbench.

Removes need for two of those perks...less need for alting.

:) or just make supersledges really good for mining (each SS hit on a deposit yields double or triple).

And how about a craftable backpack, worn in the armor slot, so that even low ST builds can utilise mining properly without having to make a 10 ST alt?

I think that would be cool, it's not like people would wear the backpack to combat for extra looting, because they would techincally be wearing no armor, and thus be made of paper (also have a naked -50 sneak penalty).
I like the backpack idea. Could craft with some brahmin hides and fibre. Even an upgraded one with gecko hides perhaps.

Ah I get your point. I always though having 2 characters is gonna take a longer time. About the ST 1, would that hinder a sniper taking aimed shot or will the high skill eventually cover up for the ST?

Will that -20% affect me a lot if I were to go for aimed shots?

Wouldn't having a str of 5 disallow me to use some weapons properly?

My situation is that I don't have a lot of time to grind in the game due to rl stuff and I don't really like maintaining more than one character. So I am hoping I could get some help with building a character that could possibly contribute in team pvp and also do gun and armour crafting.

Here are the stats that I came up with in my head so the stats allocation might sum up to be the wrong total special points.
Stats:
St: 6 to 7
Perception: around 7
Endurance: around 9
Chrisma: 1
Int: 4
Agi: around 8
Luck: around 6

Now I don't really know if small guns will be better for my case than big guns or vice versa. Some pros and cons will be appreciated.

Perks and traits is a problem for me too. I usually take small frame and finesse. For the traits I usually pick more critical and even more critical. 2 action boy as well. Some where along the lines of shooting more often and getting more crits off.

Thanks a bunch in advance.
