Ahh you people still don't get it :)

You are always about: Noo the factions get stronger which and can give their members more and more. An infinite circle of bla bla. -1 AP nooooo unbalanced. imba. bla bla

Mini adjustments but no big changes. First all want reno to be gone because of newbies can get good stuff. Than after Reno was gone all say only the big once get all the money and stuff.. *sighs* Now it's back again...

Get 20-30 people at a time with normal CA + unbuffed guns but knowledge to the game and you still can beat all factions here in TC (most of the times).

The problem is the game is boring in the long run and has no new stuff. Look what big mmorpgs do to maintain and entertain their userbase. If it would get constantly new players and could keep them, the game would be fun. So as it is now it will always stick around with a core base and a few new peeps. That's it. Fun for those who like it boring for the rest of the world :)

Guess what. The next 10 wipes it will stay the same. I liked the game but it gets boring in the long run. It just lacks new features, goals, quests, dungeons, bosses where random guys join up. Group leveling is not needed here. etc...

You people always just see more abuse with every thing that's changed instead that the game finally becomes more fun and new features... For me it just gets boring now like it happened to 10000 others before :)  (even thou i loved fallout always)

But back to the topic. I still think this is a great idea. There are always people which thinks it is bad or abusable. But it's worth a try. Better than changing nothing and waiting for a silent death.

And if my suggestion would be "complicated". I don't know what to say. Guess what code games like Mass Effect has. This what I suggest is like a drop in the ocean...

I know this could be abused but everything can. You just need to find a calculation that works well.

That's why I also suggested to have an wipe fame only option. Test Wipe. Go on and see :)

- For example a lvl 1 char will give like 1 Fame. So you needed to kill 5000 of them to gain a level
- 15Min was just an example if you can take 30min+ and stack up different anti-abusing system.

Yeah i know it's a lot that were just an example. Also the +1ap is the last thing to gather and would maybe need 3month of awesome Pk or so ;)

Don't forget you can also loose some fame if a low level + low fame char kills you or you go bluesuit.

It's not only to get an advantage it's also for having goals you can achieve which take longer and could bring some fun because of the rewards. Also you have a nice show off thing next to your name :P

Hey guys,

last night I had the perfect idea.  :P

The game needs a fame system. As a young boy I played a game called Risk Your Life, it's not compared to this thou but it had an PVP system I liked and it was also a bit of TC, at least you could raid the cities of the other race and kill the people there ;)

Anyway let's get to the point:

- The fame system should be like some "hidden levels" you can gain.

- You get fame for killing other players

- The fame you get will depend on your fame compared to the fame of the other play
  (you get more fame when you kill someone that has more fame than you on the other side you lose more when you get killed by someone who has less)

- To prevent killing bluesuits there should be an hard penalty when they have no armor on and no weapon in hand  unless they start the attack (this could help noobs not getting killed as it happend to me more than once while trying to learn about the game). You can still kill them but for the cost of fame.

- To prevent cheating there should be a time penalty. Killing the same guy within 15min or so won't get you any more fame.

- The base for fame could be  X(Base fame you get) + Y(some fame difference calculation) + (penalty for bluesuits)

- There could be plenty of fame levels you can reach. For example 6 different fame levels. It could be something like
lvl 1 - 5000 fame
lvl 2 - 15000 fame
and so on...
The fame status should be shown next to the char name for example. To see the rank a char has.

- Also there should be an reward system which is very important. Since rare stuff will get lower and Kilgore don't want it to give out in lockers or easily. There still should be an reward to push more PvP in the cities. This could be a system.
lvl 1 - +20 carry weight
lvl 2 - +4 Healing Rate
lvl 3 - +2 fire/electro/expl
lvl 4 - +2 normal/laser/plasma dmg res
lvl 5 - +10 hp
lvl 6 - + 1ap

This is just some suggestion. Still not so overpowered but well it's something you can achieve by "hard work".

Also you should have the option for a fame shop. The prices can be high. There you could trade your fame for items. The items you get will be one with the same chances as crafting but you could gain some unique item with +1ap. Gatlings etc. You could also make a very high priced HP armor.

Instead of a complete Server Wipe you should also have the ability for just wiping all the fame. Just in case for some testings to make in a season....

What question is this... why ?

Not everyone is playing this game for Years. A newbie who tries this game and gets the perk might see it's worth staying and exploring more. Easy as that. Sometimes you need to think out of the box, not everyone is firm with the worldmap.

Hello,

I would like to suggest a support perk to reveal the whole map.

Needs

- Level 30
- Outdoorsman 100

Dunno which NPC could give that thou. But I hate to look at all those black squares on my screen and thought it's also used in Fallout 3 so why not :)
