dont blame pk for low player count...its been low long before pk return
Quite the opposite, in fact; The low pk count reflects the low player count, and the player count us low because crafting has become generally impossible.
Crafting is quite possible, I got about idk fucking 500k Junk in my base??? The player count is low because Loot Drop and Hexing is gone, I don't really give a shit about hexing. But whats the point in PKing or Anti-PKing if you get literally nothing from it? Loot Drop was good for PvP and PvE, PvE is no longer harsh, difficult, and you don't actually fear the wasteland anymore.

I think a good number of players would get over no loot if hexing was reinstated, at least then there would be an element of skill to the fights. I’d prefer both to be returned but I’m sure my feedback will get same careful consideration it always does.
Why? What's the point in PvP if there's literally nothing to gain, also if you get fucking hexed in a 1v1 please uninstall.

Fun? You know even with full loot you actually gain nothing in reality. All loot remains in-game, you can’t take any home.
With that logic why are you even playing video games? Just go kill someone irl and get loot drop irl.

Good idea because that's exactly what I was talking about! Or I could have been pointing out the fallacy that loot drop = gain. It does not, although I think the game would be better with it the cornerstone of PvP was hexing and removing it was a stupid move. In the past getting dropped on by a team with bigger numbers didn't automatically spell the end for a smaller group or solo player, now it pretty much does since it's all just stand and click. So if being able to loot a player when all you did was click faster or bring more people is what you'll enjoy then you should hang in there and wait for loot to be reintroduced because this is definitely the game for you.

If you are using that 'Strong Explorer' build then no wonder you are having problems, it was shit last session and probably even worse now. To make it better you should take bonehead, big guns and add BRD/MRD. You may want to think about dumping some INT and putting it in PE too, not that it will make much difference in the current state of the game.

This is the session that is supposedly 'noob friendly' and yet more of his friends kept playing last session when everything was so harsh and PvP players would tie the hands and shoelaces of noobs together before setting their hair on fire every time one stepped out of the hub. It is a much better game now, which is why nobody plays.

There isn't a lack of communication, I think many players have been very forthcoming with feedback and suggestions but for some reason the blanket responses of 'stop crying' and 'game is awesome' have failed to resonate with everybody. It's a real mystery where the problem is.

Total lack of any reason to play for anybody who does not enjoy grind for the sake of it? Because aside from no hexing and no loot drop that is the next biggest one in my opinion. Levelling up is now a colossal ball-ache thanks to the nerfing of various levelling methods and the frankly laughable way AC has been 'reworked' to force players to raise weapon skill higher to be able to hit anything on max range while completely failing to make AC based builds any more useful than they where before.

The "Grind is Good" philosophy seems to be something most servers are doing at the moment and it just makes people not want to play, while the devs think it makes the game 'harder'. Sure, there was grind in session 2 but the difference was that once you learned the ropes there were short cuts, now there aren't and so you actually have to enjoy grind for it's own sake.

And then if you do grind up a character, what exactly are you going to do with that? Organize a crafting and bartering party and do some TC?

You have to laugh.

The irony is I'll probably get another ban when a certain moderator gets on for daring to say anything critical about the wonderful update while he looks the other way at cringy, pointless bollocks like this. It's a funny old game. (Well, it used to be at least before...you know..)

Its easy for anyone to see that this server has hit rock bottom, and the server owners aren't really active to listen to the pleas of the straggling leftover community. But if anyone is here to listen, I'll spew my opinion on the matter. And I'll back it up with some facts.

Season 1 Reloaded - Average player count - 149
This session was the start of reloaded, and it was a fresh new server after 2238 had collapsed. The people who didn't like Fonline 2 came here and made it their home. It was far from perfect, but it was awsome and everyone loved it. It was the best server after 2238.

Season 2 Reloaded - Average player count - 112
Season 2. Tons of new awsome changes. The initial hype had died down, so all the passersby had left. But the count was still waaay up and steady at 100+ every day. The hardcore players planted their feet and made this their home game. PvP was HUGE, TC, Reno, the combat system was great! There were the complainers, but they still stayed and worked around the faults they had with the game. The roleplayers still roleplayed, and the factions still did their shit. It was perfect! Every now and again the occasional casual would happen by, get shredded, then make a cry post on the forum. This was normal, and people loved it. The server was getting hearty donations every month. Entire factions were dumping loads of cash into the server, and it was going fine.

Season 3 Reloaded (Current Time) - Average player count - 35
After the wipe, there was a nice influx of players. (I think 200+ on the first day). But as allways, the fresh wipe hype died in 2 or 3 days. The combat system was completely changed to something foreign and unwanted. The Majority of the players were left confused and disgusted. The biggest and hardest to master skill mechanic; one-hexing, was gone. Looting? Gone. TC as we knew it? Gone. Sooo many players' playstyles were eradicated without much warning. And even with the warning we had, there was nothing we could do but watch out favorite game change into something else. After about a month, the player count PLUMMETED. There was no sense of reward, and Fallout 2 factions mod (AKA FOnline) was reduced to a literal desolate wasteland. Inititally, Kilgore said that this is what he wanted. He didn't want the "Toxic" PvP apes on reloaded anymore. "They caused 90% of the problems here." He stated somthing along those lines before the wipe. And low and behold, they all left. And with them all gone, there was nothing to stimulate the game. Sure there is some people who still play (even me) in hopes that there will be some miraculous update to fix things and get the server going again. But as of now, there are those fundamental things that need to be fixed in order to revive this server. (If the developers even WANT it revived...)

1. Town Control. As we all know, TC was drastically changed with this 3rd season. There is little to no reward, and there is no "Control". If TC (which was NOT broken in season 2) was changed back, that would be a huuuge step in the right direction.

2. I don't even need to say it, but - Looting. Killing a player and taking his shit was a HUGE part of the livelihood of this game. The fact that you could get fucked up by a swarm of players, (or even NPCs for that matter) made people play cautiously and gave them that sense of danger. So anything they did was done very carefully. This also encouraged people to join groups and play together for more protection. Now there is nothing to lose, so hell, go to warehouse and punch those damned slages in the mouth with your brass knuckles. They can't even pry your weapon from your cold dead hands.

3. One-Hexing. Like I mentioned before, this was one skill that soooo many players wanted to master. It was a goal, consciously or subconsciously set by nearly everyone. No one wanted to get humiliated by someone stuffing a minigun in your ass and shredding you apart. So what did you do? You tried to get good at it too, to fend off those nasty apes. It was an amazing incentive to keep playing and get better at PvP. As mentioned by others, now its just minigun point and click. May the faster mouse win. But for this, I have some idea that maybe would work? Give some weapons "One-hex" perk. That should be self explanitory. Some weapons have the ability to peform a one-hex, just like in the old days. Maybe a P90, or an M60. This way, the minigun meta would NOT be the only option, and these other weapons could see the light of day. And since those weapons are NOT extremely powerful, a one-hex wouldn't be as devistating as an avenger hex, but it would still give the player a use for the skill they acquired over years of PvP.

Sorry for the wall of text, but anyways, that is my 2 cents on the matter.

They don't want it fixed, it could be fixed in a few minutes by simply returning the features that existed prior to "update" and we all know it. It's their way or no way at any cost and arguably has been even before the wipe. There were many broken or simply retarded things before wipe that would have taken 5 minutes to fix and many that even now after the legendary wipe still aren't fixed or were exaggerated into "features".

If I'm honest, I don't think I want to see this server fixed, I would much rather see it shut down to give other servers a shot because people just will not stop playing it because the name is familiar even if the game doesn't even remotely resemble the one they used to play and the rest will play fonline2 because that's what everybody else does now.

I don't really know what the fuck you're all on about but at least it's reviving the forums! Maybe Kilgore will reward you with some puppets or something, they sound pretty important.

Suggestions / Re: Vindicate Vic.

This sounds just as exciting as the rest of session 3, I'm sure the devs will love it. Corosive is probably adding it as we speak, it might even be the centre piece of the next update!
I heard Corrosive resigned as a Dev (I hope that's just a NASTY radio rumor), but there are others...
And I hope they do.

He can't go yet! There is still lots of fetch jobs that need adding and plenty of NPC's which don't have 'golly' as a dialogue option, there is so much left for him to do here!

Still more relevant than you ever were. Lmfao.
Lmfao.

Couldn't agree more man.
PFFFHAHAHAHA.

Small pipiman tryin' to piss wid dem big boiis is what my former boss used to call it. ; )
...
SO ANYWAYS, the subject at hand was "Vindicate Vic." It's a rather lengthy quest, shouldn't be much in the way of rewards, mostly just Vic's personal appreciation, maybe some personal satisfaction, one of those "I'm going that ways anyways, might as well" quests. Maybe even stretch it out a bit that you have to return and tell Vic that X has been informed, and here's his reply, so then he asks you to find Y and get THEM to come, but of course Y can't come immediately either, so here's HIS reply, and so on...

This sounds just as exciting as the rest of session 3, I'm sure the devs will love it. Corosive is probably adding it as we speak, it might even be the centre piece of the next update!

This is awesome! We are going to have a blast with all this new stuff! I am slightly disappointed that the long awaited fetch job for dynacord sticks didn't get implemented with this update but other than that great work!

Yes, one skilled player could overcome a group who think swarm=skill. Is it me or is it everyone else?

Returning loot drop without hexing would make the game even less playable than it is now.
Not really, just make all the protected towns in S2, still be protected. The game will more or less stay the same, maybe the public dungeons will become camped by PKers.

As far as I am aware, they are and if they weren’t it would make no difference to what I said.

No hexing favours swarm in PvP and artificially raises the difficulty of some PVE content, that was my point.
