That's it - number says it all. 2017 January it was 88 average and 2016 102 average players. And it was with season that lasted long time. I spoked with two friends I've played S1 and S2 if they still play and response was "no lot - no thanks" in both cases. Also we spoke about crafting and junk usage (I don't mind it). basically, I logged onto forums to see If I was wrong. If I would see same +/- number of average players It would mean me being pissed-off for no loot system is just pure ranting and I didn't understood changes. but seeing playerbase dropped by 70% shows clearly that that was Bad decision. Pity, becuase I still wanted to play the game with new features...

We (apes) all feel the same. The game had all sorts of problems, caused both by the game itself and it's players, but it was unique. Now it all feels like a generic Not Massively Multiplayer Online game. It looks the same but the spirit is dead. The few apes around for the years that lasted S1 and 2 liked it and had it nowhere else so they stayed. The players around now could play anything else (dunno, like dofus for instance) and be happy. Wasteland ain't harsh anymore.

Came back today to check out how much the game changed while I was gone.

I am sad to see that there is nothing left of what made the game unique and fun.

People are disappointed for 3 main reasons: No hexing, No Looting, No old school TC. This is enough to ruin the PvP experience. And those who were mainly doing pvp are lost now.

When season 3 started I was all randy, wanted to try out what had been advertised for years. I created a character, escaped the tutorial thingy, and then found out that crafting had became a pain in the ass. All my hopes where that I could craft without spending too much time what I used to loot. Adding to this that hexing was removed, and thus the possibility to fight multiple opponents by using environment and timing, which make farming safer and faster (also NPC drops got nerfed hard). So, I had little time to play, but there was no shortcut to acces gear, at least not the few I knew from before. Well, the only way to advance in the game was to do time consuming quests and shit like that, but that's not why I was playing the game in the first time. I almost don't know anything about the quests because I never did any. I would just kill NPCs, science everything, craft basic gear, then go kill someone to get better one. Once I have decent shit I would join for larger scale PVP. From what I've heard, TC isn't a thing anymore, more like the militia bullshit I hated so much.

To sum up, the game I love was the perfect balance of a month of farming that would last the rest of the session of endless pvp (I always looted a little bit more than I lost on average). It seems this game no longer exist, I feel like when 2238 closed: "it's over, go do something else".

The features that kept me entertained are gone, and thus, so am I.

Depuis que les Amboy Dukes et les TTTLA on plié bagages il ne reste presque plus personne. Urukhai, peut-être, mais il voudra probablement pa faire de PVE, Barney ne joue plus ou presque. Moi je ne fais plus que du PVP. Ca doit être possible de trouver des gars à droite à gauche, mais globalement j'ai fais le tour. Va falloir que tu te mettes à l'anglais mon gars!
