Thanks so far for all of your answers :)

I will consider some of that for sure.

I started over and will try to find a way.

Captain Stone: What exactly is up with that Pipe Boy updates? Can you tell me more about that? And what about Landers Point?

Maxron: Caravans are solid, yes. Sadly often there come enemies that shoot at me and hit me in the eyes and faster then I can look I go down. Still, I like them for sure :)

Jbarros: My Crafter (as far as I can tell him that) is named Nimiria and my new Soldier, Nightsteel, will go for some missions and fights in the next days, often near the Hub for selling and such :)

Game Help / Some help for a new one?

First I want to say I am very happy that this game here exists. Fallout3 and plus just never got me really. I loved F1 and F2 the way it was.

Still I seem to have very much trouble here. For example: My character is level 21, wears combar armor and helmet Mark 2 and a quality plasma rifle with almost 200 EW skill. For me that sounds like a good gear to get some fight. I took the easy NRC raider quest and wow.. what the hell is wrong with raiders here? They all hit me in the eyes almost every hit for 100+ damage and I just wonder. Am I doing anything wrong? Is my character just too weak or that gear nothing worth?

In general I have the feeling combat is not very much worth. If I compare the hub rat quest (few XP, almost no pay) to what amount of XP and money I can make with just running around and salvage and then sell some basic crafted stuff, salvaging seems to be much more of a way to come forward.

So hmm am I missing something?

Is there any way to find some fighting (missions) with equal or a bit weaker enemies that pays off? Or is fighting just nothing a solo char should do at all (unless for some rats and geckos I guess :D)

Maybe someone can give me a little bit of advice here? Thanks :)
