I'm making a new one. The idea is : a big abandonned clandestine factory where some poor people (maybe illegal immigrants ?) used to work and live in (you know, just like in China). There would be two maps : The factory/worker part, and the head quarter where few rich people controled the assembly line (robots where here for protection !).

Few pics (WIP), I just made details in the dormitory/canteen part
 

Before I continue, I would like to know if it's a good idea ? Do you have suggestions ?

To switch between roof and floor editing, use 3rd button of your mouse.
you maybe press middle scroll button don't you ? This one is sipposed to switch from floor tiles to roof tiles.
Clicking the scroll wheel is mouse button 3.
Yeah, indeed, I think I've done this, thank you for all these details :p

I'll try to be careful with the global arrangement, and yeah, loading existing maps helps a lot. I'll try do draw sketches, but if anyone got ideas or make sketches, that may help mappers a lot.

One thing I don't understand, is how to edit roof. It seems there is a shortcut to do this, because sometimes I edit roof don't know why.

Yep. I look at it as more of a anti-close combat defensive perk..also very effective in close combat pve against aliens, deathclaws etc. You can beat deathclaws naked very easily. I think the perk is fine as is.

THIS is the problem. In Your Face was supposed to be effective against bullets, not against punching an ass-kicking.

Yes, because it still won't solve the problem with 1 hex bursting. Why bother carrying a weapon with bonuses and what not when you lose it against a 200 caps grease gun.
Well this has nothing to do with 1 hex bursting. I like to carry regular wakizachis, why not a wakizachi with bonuses ?
But yeah, this might not be an urgent suggestion.

Nope, wakizashi crafting is only available to yakuzas. You filthy wasteland piggu should not be able to craft them. Just use rippers, more damage and easy to craft.
So you're against Waskizashi and super sledge with bonus ?

Wakizachi cratbale and katana rare weapon, I'd like to see this.

Wakizachi crafting table :
-1 HQ alloy
-2 HQ metal part
-1 Metal part

Katana would be a rare item, found in lockers, ares, glow...
Damage : 20-50
AP : 3
Damage type : Normal
St. required : 3
Type : Two-Handed (it would require new animation which sucks)
penetrate perk

The actual crafting is neat.

- New players can have nice home-made low-tier weapons
- Established players can have really good weapon with crafting
- Rare non-craftable items are still usuable
- You can science or trade the regular items you loot

What would counterbalance crafted weapons is more diversity in rare non-craftable items in my opinion. But I guess it's not the subject.

Guns can be SCI'ed Weapons can be SCI'ed. Why not drugs?
How exactly would you dismantle Jet or RadAway?
What items would you get from it? Empty plastic bag and spilled RadAway?

Fuck sake you can dismantle guns for scrap n' metal sure, but Jesus what would you get from drugs?
I vote againts this 'suggestion' because it doesn't make any sense.
You get 40% of the materials needed to craft it duh.
We all know some weapons don't make sense while scienced (like the sawed-off shotgun becoming an normal one).
On the other hand yeah, I'm not a chemist and it seems that sciencing buffout (from a realistic point of view) and obtain meat is silly.
