We requested Nuka Rangers. It accepted but I got d/c while making it before I could pick base type. Now it will not let us use our requested name. I'd like it reset so we can make a faction with our name. It pissed one member off so bad he refuses to play until it is fixed and we need him to make it.

We can list faction names to be added to game, but we should not expect them to be added quickly. Devs add them whenever there is a new update, and right now nobody is expecting any updates until wipe. So you see us listing some desired faction names but for after wipe.

No, we don't know when Wipe is and devs hate to be asked about it - they simply won't commit to any schedule (why should they? Game is free).

Assuming the wipe destroys factions too (Why wouldn't it?) I have a few ideas. My faction hates their name, so if we add some of these hopefully we can get one of them before they're all snatched up haha.

Again though, I intend for these after the wipe, when we have to remake our factions.

-The League of Brahmin Crap
-The Shitdicks (I don't know if offensive language is allowed in a faction name, but if so I'm gunning for this one. You have no idea how much it suits us.)
-League of Shit Snatchers.
-The Smelly Hands

As you can see we have a bit of a sense of humor... :P

Before I asked about name last month I checked here (http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/files/faction_list.txt), and in a game by command ~ffn. Is not on a lists. But after your post I checked now in a game by command ~factionnames and I found it. Is it possible that someone took the name in a meantime?

FYI:

~ffn shows you available faction names only.

~factionnames shows you used (in use now) faction names only.

So never wait again - your time is worth more than that - use both of these commands as needed.

Please add; some kind of pre requisite for making a faction or assigning a faction name, I think half of these are just jokes, and many are people who probably never intend to use them.

But kil has to evaluate each one and add it to the list, making the list of factions ever so ridiculous and unmanageable. Meanwhile only about 12 factions actually exist and play continuously.

Maybe if you worked a cap price in there for adding a faction name people might not spam them out so hard.

When i first tried to create a Faction i couldnt simply Pick a Name , then somebody on Teamspeak pointed out this Thread . So i was like " Hell why wait on Kilgore to add custom name , lets try if some on the list are not taken " ... All the ones that i liked and would have put up with were taken. If you wanna raise the Bar to creating a Faction in the next Season im fine with that , right now where there allready are Factions that didnt pay such a Fee it would be unfair . Im around since about a month and im glad to have roughly 100k caps , together with the 3 other Guys i play with outside of the Khans we might have 500k ..... while those that have been around for years i see spending 5-6 M for a full reroll with Implants without breaking a sweat.

Next Season a Onetime Cost as a Moneydrain , okay why not .
Maybe you wanna have optional Stuff that helps to take Caps out of the Economy , if its not too much work add something thats neat ( but not gamebreaking ) for the active factions to call it mandatory but requires a monthly Fee so the Faction has to Tax its Members :

- Doc at Base that heal your wounds
- Whores that helps keep Companions / Slaves happy
- Safe Radiochannel for those who dont use Voicechat

That's why i suggested removing some names that seem so stupid nobody will ever use them. Add good names, but also prune the list of unwanted names. (And you know a lot more than 12 factions "actually exist". People want good names for private factions too.)

It got to a point where the names were so limited due to our high demand for quality post-apocalyptic sounding names. Over time we decided to compromise and add a ton. There's plenty for everyone now, unless the new season brings in 3x the player base lol.
