Changelog 5.01.2014

- An exploit with caravan having more than ten members hopefully fixed.
- Caravans shouldn't fall into Turn-based encounters anymore.
- Caravan guards will use Combat Shotgun instead of Flamer in order to decrease friendly fire.
- Car prices should be static now.
- New faction names added.  (http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?topic=45.msg26717#msg26717)
- Increased range of Pulse Rifle from 45 to 48.
- Increased range of Gauss Rifle from 50 to 53 and maximum damage from 40 to 45.
- Decreased AP cost of "Little Jesus" by 1 AP and increased damage from 5-14 to 14-21.
- Changed DR Mod of 40mm Grenades from 0 to -15.
- Increased base price of Hypo to 1500.
- Added 2x Broc Flower to RadAway recipe.
- Added a missing hexblocker in Maltese Falcon.
- Removed permanent +5 ST bonus from an unlisted quest.

Added footlockers to New Reno Arms and Warehouse basements (moved upstairs to prevent extreme camping).
- Every 10-50 minutes (randomly), each footlocker will delete what's inside and respawn new items:
70% 50% chance to spawn one random armor/helmet from the list:
   - Advanced or Unique -> Tesla Armor/Helmet, Combat Armor/Helmet, Combat Armor Mk II/Helmet Mk II, Brotherhood/Enclave/Ranger Combat Armor, Bridgekeeper's Robes, Brotherhood Helmet, Enclave Combat Helmet/Helmet Mk II
   - without crafting bonus -> Power Armor/Helmet, Hardened Power Armor/Helmet,
70% 50% chance to spawn one random weapon from the list:
   - Advanced or Unique -> .223 Pistol, Sniper Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Pancor Jackhammer, Improved Flamer, Rocket Launcher, Avenger Minigun, LSW, M60, Laser Rifle (Ext. Cap.), Gatling Laser, Turbo Plasma Rifle, YK32 Pulse Pistol,
   - without crafting bonus -> M72 Gauss Rifle, PPK12 Gauss Pistol, Vindicator Minigun, Bozar, YK42B Pulse Rifle,
25% chance to spawn several items like: 2mm EC ammo, 4.7mm Caseless ammo, Hypos, Howitzer Shells, Land mines,
2% chance to spawn a random implant module (probably temporarily);

- New Reno Commercial Row, New Reno Arms basement, Warehouse and it's basement are now NoLogOut maps (characters stay in "off" state inside);
- Few minor changes to New Reno Arms,
- Added more aggresive deathclaws to Warehouse,
- Added East/West entrance options to Warehouse.


Notes:
As you can see, some necessary bugfixes are included. Rare weapons were improved to make them more effective in battles (especially Gauss Rifle vs Pistol). 40mm Grenades were improved in order to make them more interesting for organised PvP. There was +5 ST bonus from some unlisted "quest" in Stables, NPC is long gone since it was reported (a month or two ago), now it's fixed.
New spawners were added in order to encourage some small and medium scale PvP in New Reno and Warehouse and to increase availability of rare items, which were accessible only through TC and Special Encounters. Most notably: implant modules. With average of 30 min spawn and 2% chance, there should be roughly one implant module spawned by each footlocker per day. However, you never know when it happens. Remember that footlockers are cleared with each respawn so if nobody picks these items, they will be simply lost.

Of course it's not over as my todolist is big and you can expect another update very soon  ;)

We'll see. If it is a problem then I will move it upstairs, no problem. They can't logout there and they still need to go upstairs to leave the location.

I am playing Fonline only for a while so excuse my question.. Where is exactly New Reno Arms and Warehouse basement? From what i found on internet, New Reno Arms should be some store in New Reno.. but i have no idea about Warehouse. And if both places are unguarded, we all know how that will look like... Already strong guys will camp it for implants and become even more stronger - Its hard to fight them now, and will be impossible after they create their implant-buffed new chars with Power Armors. And yeah, bug with .22 hunter ammo reported ages ago still remains..
I love the game, i love events you do and i love your entire work on this.. but this patch gives me a bad feeling, that fighting high-end guys will be even worse now.

poor fella! i can totaly understand your feelings. :P but there will be a chance later with dungeons then some of thes places will be deserted cos they cant camp it 7/24

Dont start crying, PvP players arent gods with super weapons and stuff, i use regular weapons (I dont like crafting) and can still fight.

Btw, I dont know if its bug or not, but I think Armor and Helmet should be spammed together

DUNGEONS!!! Today is the day....

Placing a footlocker and few deathclaws doesn't make a dungeon.
There is BH Cave minidungeon coming in few days as I promised. I'll add it for testing stuff if it works as I want it to.

Real dungeons will consist of at least several levels and various features.
When these are in game, I'll probably lower a bit chance rate for NRA/Warehouse footlockers. I also need to make some map adjustments.

Great update, Kilgore. Thats what we needed.  You didnt remove militia, you said in next update... Also you should move lockers upstairs, cuz there will be a lot of camping, and if few guys camp with bursters, you cant do anything. Also if few guys are camping underground, others can wait for them upstairs and 1hex them. It should be like in Ghost town, locker should be outside.

I think 70% is a bit too much for rare stuff like PA/vindic etc etc, server will be full o those thing in 2weeks.

If 2% make one item a day, make something like 15% for HQ stuff like PA/Gauss/Vindic and stuff like that.
70% of rare (ranger/enclave/BA...) with stats is good but too much for HQ stuff

Also TC should have same spawn chance as this lockkers cause TC locker a worst than reno/warehouse ones

No it's good way it is, people can camp above stairs too,

Keep it way it is this help smaller factions getting them lockers too otherwise seki in open space u can camp it with swarm and other faction won't have a Chance

There is no quest flag variable. So it is hard to revert that bonus   :-\

dungeons should be like go inside, clear, loot, go outside..  games are for fun, it would be fun.. camping one small room for hours isnt much fun.. and killing everyone during his loading time

it reminds me broc flower auction.. game should be fun to play, interesting, farming fkn broc flower for hours just to get some implant or camping one fkn small room to get loot isnt fun, its boooring as hell ! you should really start thinking about some features which will be entertaining, interesting for players..

but i like this update, i like this idea, good work but footlockers should be moved / area extended and maybe some npcs added, then it would be more interesting and also mix of intense pvp/pve

you should really start thinking about some features which will be entertaining, interesting for players..
I'm waiting for suggestions but so far only things like mushrooms, golden armors, atomic weapons and improved radscorpions are being posted.

Changelog updated;
Chance to spawn armors/weapons changed from 70% to 50%.
Footlockers moved upstairs. That makes basements useless but whatever, I hope it improves gameplay.

everyone have a chance or you can also find high end loot from SE or you can farm something and buy it if you are solo player, there are many options

Commercial is better for PvP than sewers (which can be still used to move troops and attack from another direction). You're right about Waterworks, though. I'll see if Waterworks can be used for something else (base control?) or if it's better to move that locker there.

I think waterwork can stay the way it is.

It's the best spot to collect chemical components.. now if all base price of drugs are INCREASED,
more people will go to waterwork to collect those chemicals..and place will be more active location.

Those chests seemed like really interesting thing to spice it up. But in the end its just useless location now, few ppl camping those places all day and vendors in these places are useless now, either make new location for this or move the vendors.

Btw a small hint: reward footlockers close when they respawn, so you can keep them open - it will be easier to know when something spawned inside.

But honestly the game just doesn't support melee/throwers at the moment. What could possibly spawn in there the majority of the population would use?

You have to realize Ed there is only like 3 true diehard melee on this server including you.

All in all nice update.

But i don't understand changes to the car prices. Why make them static? If low car prices bother you, then increasing minimal price would do the trick.

Yeah you ruined my car dealing business. Now I can kick my T-Ray character out of work. He will be sad to loose the job.

Oh no, this update is not for pvp players, it's only an update for bbs, to justify how they can fight everyday with brotherhood armors gauss rifles etc... They are camping the two dungeons 24/24h. No chance for other players to take some stuff.

Max.. Yesterday i watched bbs tttt blow himself up when he had HPA on because BBS was losing the fight in reno. Ive also seen 1/2 people camp the Box in reno & Warehouse earlier today

No matter what you say or what's actually happening in game, some funny people will still claim that every update is made for bbs because they are too weak to form their own team. Much easier to make some frustration-posts on forum instead. Weak.

I've been watching both locations yesterday and I can't decide which team (BBS/Pistoleros) was there most of the time. Sometimes smaller teams occupied these locations (Young Killers and some TDG? TBG? characters)... sometimes only 2-3 dudes were just standing there.

Is server on debug or why does it feel so slow and high ping? Just seen this happening since 2 hours ago, nothing changed on my network connection.

Maybe car price become static, because sometime car prices was too high. Static is fine, as now some newbies and poor players could buy them too.

So it's the other way around. The car prices were apparently too low. The only option for noobs and poor people these days is Scout for 20k. That is a price of two DIY bases. Or maybe Buggy, but I wouldn't buy or advice that sh*t.

For me personally the cars are not cheap, but I can afford them. On the other hand, Me and 3 my friends have experience with FOnline since 2010.

Best would be dynamic prices like this:
Buggy - 7.5-15k caps
Scout - 10-20k caps
Hummer - 25-50k caps
Highwayman - 60-120k caps
Corvega - 100-200k caps

Btw a small hint: reward footlockers close when they respawn, so you can keep them open - it will be easier to know when something spawned inside.
Not anymore. Many times when lockers were closing itself we didn't find anything. Today I waited 50min to get 1ca mk2 and gauss rifle. Same situation in warehouse. 99% of the time closed locker were empty

Deatchlaw respawn rate needs to be increased more, after all they are not the same as mutants in firepower. As you can see in the video they are only a minor nuisance.

Warehouse isnt suposse to be a dungeon (dungeon->Ncps). Also, Ive gone to warehouse alone a lot of times, and killed the people that was guarding that place, so could do the same. This is not your update, wait for dungeons.

Ive loot those lockers lots of time alone, no more team, just me. If you want to get good stuff, you have to risk something. I dont want bluesuits getting PAs, for that you already have special encounters.

this was very bad idea. All I see 90% of time is bluesuit idiots running around whole day and night, trying to loot best shit with NO EFFORT AT ALL. Srsly, implants/PAs spawning in locker, that can be opened by any bluesuit/sneaker idiot? Really?

I'm not with Pistoleros, I pretty much run solo for time being. But yes, it's pretty much impossible for small groups to compete against BBS when they have so many, and on top of that they are stocked with end game gear and implants from lockers.

I suggest putting some kind of NPC militia. They would spawn one every half an hour (just like militia in tows) but up to 4 NPCs.
You can't open the locker, until all militia is dead.
Militia would attack ANYONE who:
- has weapon drawed
- attacked them or other player (unless the player is marked as unprotected)
- attempts to open the locker (even if it would be locked and unpickable)
- gets too close to them

Thanks to this solution:
- bluesuits won't be able to loot best stuff without effort
- Fairly equipped group could kill those NPC's
- Spawning rate wouldn't interfere with constant PvP, if there's any.

I think Kirko`s idea is pretty stupid. We dont even need militia in towns, it just reduces small pvp there. Also if u put militia, 1 guy wont be able to go there and fight alone, and he should be, since there are many loners in this game. I think this update is awesome, i just suggest to Kilgore make that you cant loot locker unless u have some good gear, like it was in 2238 for tc lockers, u werent able to loot it if u dont have some decent armor and weapon. That way bluesuits wont be able to loot it , they will need some gear to do it.

Yeah, dont bring more PvE into the PvP. Better to make some barrier for looting the box, such as it is with starting TC timer. Allso locking the box every time loot spawn prevents ninja looting.

Best items should be difficult to obtain (dungeons anyone?), not some shitty lockers free to loot.

I have loot 2 powers armors, one in the locker after killing 3 guys, and the other on your friend full dawa, so no im not these bluesuits sorry! But yeah i agree that bluesuits shouldnt be allowed to loot in these lockers, only fighters. But when you fight at 3vs3, won, loot the locker, and the same team spawn back with 10 chars, its bullshit too.

All my posts in this topic was about bluesuits getting free stuff when nobody's around, and you started some butthurt flamewar on me and BBS >.>

Many people attack 3 vs me alone etc. This isn't fair, but fights/wars are never fair. Actually, any kind of competition is not fair.
And seriously, stop trying to get me angry or whatever is it you try to accomplish with these butthurt posts about BBS...
