Today another competition.
We have tested Barter Ground before the launch and all exploits involving killing other players there were fixed. As we all know, players are much better when it comes to find such exploits and here's a job for you:
- Find an effective way to kill OTHER player in Barter Ground so you can show me how you are doing it.
The prize for the first discovered exploit is 150.000 bottle caps.

30K is too little for such info, why would some1 share it with you if he can earn 30K+ caps just by killing other players. ::)
I suggest you give implants or something for such kind of things to have higher chance of successfully finding the exploit.
Knowing that people will try exploit everything that can be exploited (and good exploits worth more than any item) even implant suggestion can be questionable.

Also, to Kelin and the other guy:
Trying to find an exploit there, killing guards and making a mess WHILE I'm completing auction deal with some players carrying few hundreds bottle caps is very stupid.
My response was maybe too harsh but as I told you, I will refund your items lost on that attempt, so don't get too angry.

Step 1. Find a victim.
Use social techniques to make him/her falow you to the Barter Ground and do what you do.
Step 2. Find a GM/Admin doing Important Thing at the Barter Ground.
You will need a bit of luck for this step, but it can happen.
Step 3. Troll !
If you do it right you and your victim will get exploaded. But do it wrong and get a ban.

No, you don't use any c4/dynamite, you piss of the GM/Admin until He (the GM/Admin that is) uses his GM_POWERS to kill both you and the victim that is trolling next to you.
If I read this topic right it happened at least once (to Kelin and 'the other guy').
It is a 0-Day Exploit, but it could have worked.

or he will just jail you. they have laser spammer dick dildo zip guns, who can kill you for 9999 damage with out any splash damage.

Not my point. Your victim will get gm-killed as well, for trolling (that's what happend to Kilan and 'the other guy'-btw I keep caling him 'the other guy' and now I think it was Hulk), it's not about splash dmg!
I'm not saying it will work every time, but it WOULD work if the 'Kilan and the other guy incedent' was a devious plan and not a random event.
In short:
A way to kill there is to trick a gamemaster to do the killing for you.

Too lazy to try IG, but someone should check: give a follower to someone inside when it is set to "attack everyone on sight". Might be tricky to give it before he goes crazy though.

An effective way to kill people trading? Tried the old steal planting dynamite yet?

Gooseberry try to steal plant any item in the location, you will see it’s impossible.

Steal has guaranteed fail in Barter Ground.

Maybe this will work:
First - stuff the target with chems lowering Action Points to make it stand still :)
Second - stuff with chems decreasing one of SPECIAL stat to 0. should kill him ?
or stuff with tons of fruits - radiation will make the rest.
Can't afford right now enough chems for testing and I doubt find the "target", so try your own tests:)

You can't chem somebody. And it don't work like in Baldur's Gate 0 stat kill character. You can't get even 0 special (or higher than 10)

In fallout (original) you could get 0 stats. Sort of.
Try to get a lot of radiation in Glow, than wash it away, and you still die on the way back - your stats keep dropping due to radiation delayed effect, and when one reaches 0, you die. I had to drug my char in most games just to keep SPECIAL above 0, to make it to the nearest town.
As for the way to kill in Barter Grounds - has anyone tried to enter with ticking explosives already on him? I can't find any, but it may be worth a try.

Explosives kill only the bomber as far as I checked.

Set plastic explosives, steal them onto a companion, and manually explode them. I have killed 7 people like this so far with no consequences whatsoever...not even a reputation drop when I did it in NCR.

I did it in barter ground, I just said that I did it in NCR too and did not even lose reputation for it

I think I stated clearly that I had done it in barter ground too. You can remove the ncr part completely if you wish, but the fact remains it worked.
And as for pic/video, didn't take any screens yet(didn't know about the competition here, was just having fun), I have no tools for recording gameplay, and idk how to post a screen even if I get one later - it hasn't worked for me uploading them before.
Either way, I spent my last explosive device ridding some idler of his enclave armor. Need some donations and the above information if you want pics

Nothing has changed here since like month.
Btw I dont have a problem with giving 150.000 caps to anyone that finds a way to PK there, it's the goal of this competition. So far, no one has found anything.

wow wtf. Then I should have really taken a screenshot. I just heard about barter ground, went there with some boom booms and it worked for me. Could it possibly be something with the fact that it was my first time entering? Like with pve areas (ares, caves, glow, etc) when you first enter, there is a huge delay in creatures attacking you, but when you enter later they attack almost immediately.
Since I cant prove it anymore, I guess no caps for me. But I suggest that you guys look a bit into it to see if there's a loophole or error in the scripts, either there is one or I glitched something up pretty bad

There is no glitch, you can be killed by explosives only if you was the one that armed them.

Most people I asked seemed perfectly aware of this competition, but are completely uninterested due to what they consider an insufficient reward.
