Changelog 06/01/2019

Engine updated to FOClassic v5.

Important notes:
- You need to update the game via Updater.exe and delete /data/cache directory before launching the game.
If you have problems with that, you can redownload client from client download link (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/files/FOnlineReloaded.zip).
- Custom interfaces need to be modified: find & replace all "Gmap" entries to "Worldmap" in default.ini and faction.ini files.

Fixed a bug with armors being not displayed properly.
Fixed a bug affecting Scout perk, FOV etc. when game chat was inactive.

I was sure v4 is latest? v5 is dev version or what?

Anyway, best news is that FOnline stuff is free now and on github. This should happened years ago, but better later than never :)

The new client has a number of issues. Well, not really issues, but it would be nice to know how to fix them.

I just started using it, but so far I noticed two annoying things:

Our normal custom interfaces (I tried pure evil and my normal modified pure black blue) don't modify the WM. And it's broken. It's not full screen, but rather takes a quarter of it or so.  I think I encountered it before, but I don't remember how to fix it.

Another issue is running multiple clients at the same time. I don't want to use sandboxie since it's a crappy piece of software. I previously used a simple py script that used to be perfect for it: https://paste.ofcode.org/NR93mZCXGfUkS9VGMkduGh

I picked it up somewhere on fodev.net. I would appreciate if anyone could offer solutions to these issues.

Yes.

Reloaded is going to "randomly" switch from official releases to WIP versions, depends what changes are introduced, how big they are, can they be tested without players, what's the current moon phase, etc. Just like 2238/TLA was often used for battle-testing FOnline (mostly before SDK release, but not only), Reloaded can and will be used to test FOClassic between releases.

I am confused.

What is the difference between "Classic" FO and something different?

Was there some kind of "Modern" FO?

Is this a reference to the strange time during 2238 when there were experiments with Van Buren assets?
